Big big big fan of this vineyard. Blueberry Hill boosts some very lovely wines - especially the reds. Polite, friendly cellar door staff and a good tasting environment help create a great atmosphere to try a few wine tastings. Well worth the effort if you are in the Hunter.
Exceptional wines - the pinot is very nice but the chardonnay is simply amazing. The best I've ever had. The cellar door is very clean and inviting, and the staff are friendly and professional. I've been a fan of Scarborough for years - even had their chardonnay at my wedding 13 years ago! And still the quality is fantastic. Dont come here looking for a wide range of wines to choose from - Scarborough specialises and by doing so create wines that are something special indeed.
One of my favourite wineries, for many reasons. Firstly, its a family business and they are all very friendly and helpful, and you can trust that they know what they are on about. Secondly (and when talking about wineries, probably most importantly), the wines themselves are to die for. I've never been disappointed with any of the wines that I have purchased from Moorebank. Thirdly, they dont just do wines! They make this grape sauce that is possibly one of the yummiest things you'll ever try. I use it as a pizza base and it works a treat. Please please please do yourselves a favour and if you are ever in the Hunter drop into Moorebank. Nice people, awesome products.
Really impressed with the service these guys provide. They go out of their way to help you. The range of games isnt as comprehensive as something like a JB HIFI or an EB games, but as far as prices go its pretty hard to compete with Dungeon Crawl. Its definitely not easy to find! Look for the little motorcycle out the front with the black box on the back. Written on it is "Dungeon Crawl" with arrows pointing to the entry. Good quad workout getting up to the store as well haha.
An unexceptional bar - it sells alcohol and has seats, and that's about as much as I can say about it really. There are plenty of other groovy bars within a 2 minute walk that offer more style and atmosphere.
Been to the Sherlock a few times, mainly for lunch. It's a good place for lunch, with good servings of tasty pub food at reasonable prices. It's downstairs, and small, but it's got a great atmosphere and is really enjoyable.
Typical backpackers style bar. Nice outside area on the balcony, but really not much else to commend it.
Consistently great quality seafood. Great range, good prices. Always popular at Xmas, australia day etc so get in early if you can. Well worth the journey to get the freshest fish in the west.
Always had positive experiences at Kofoeds. The staff are helpful and the pharmacists are always willing to give you advice. Quick, efficient, and great customer service.
