Word of Mouth Service Awards
The Word of Mouth Service Awards are designed to help consumers find great businesses and also to honour those businesses that consistently provide outstanding service!
Everyone knows that word-of-mouth is the best way to find great businesses — so it makes sense to reward and recognise the businesses that customers like best.
Award Criteria
To receive a Word of Mouth Service Award, the criteria includes:
- A minimum number of 4 or 5 star reviews entered during the year from Word of Mouth members
- More than 90% of the reviews being positive
- The absence of any unscrupulous activity associated with the business account
- From 2026: Business must be on a paid plan (Essentials, Pro, or Happy Customers Program) and verified by our team
Why the 2026 change? To maintain the integrity and quality standards of the Service Awards, we now require businesses to be on a paid plan and verified by our team. This ensures that award recipients are established, committed businesses that we can verify are delivering genuine quality service to their customers.
If your business receives this award, it's a fantastic achievement! Less than 5% of all businesses listed on Word of Mouth qualify for the award! Have the Word of Mouth Service Award stickers located around the store or the logos on your website or Facebook page!
