This review is for central holborn apartments, Townsville QLD

I have stayed at the Holborn apartments twice now after getting a good deal for them through groupon. These apartments are perfect if you are staying in Townsville for either a short time or longer term. The feature a new comfortable bed, wifi, pay tv, washer, dryer, stove and dishwasher plus most rooms have an outdoor balcony with table. There is a great pool, small gym and bbq also available. It is very close to the CBD and perfect for people on business. The groupon rates I received cost me between$60-80 per night. I found the same apartments going for around $130 per single night online. I would give it 4.5 out of 5

This review is for Underwater World, Mooloolaba QLD

Underwater world is a great family experience and offers a great insight into marine life both inside and out of Australia. The exhibits they have are very interesting and there is a touch and feel tank which gives you a rare opportunity to feel the marine life. The shows they run throughout the day are informative and entertaining. It is a great fun and educational day to take the kids for.

This review is for smithy's pizza, Scarness QLD

Smithy's only opens in the afternoon and evening but does quite a brisk trade as I noticed both locals and tourists alike heading there for dinner. They have a great range of sizes and styles of home made pizza. They also put on rather large quantities of toppings which I really appreciated though if you don't like your pizza having to much topping you should let them know when you order. They are definitely all about ensuring you are very full and content when you have finished one of their pizza's.

This review is for Mooloolah River Fisheries, Mooloolaba QLD

Wow these guys are great. They have a huge range of fresh seafood that has just been caught and you can have a good look at everything before buying. The prices were as cheap as anywhere else that I saw around the area and quality second to none. Apart from picking up some prawns and oysters to take home we also had some of their fish cooked there which tasted exquisite.

This review is for Beach House Hotel, Booral QLD

Positioned close to lots of accommodation and facing the ocean the Beach House Hotel is a great place to go for a relaxing beer and perhaps some food. My girlfriend and I enjoyed having a few drinks here while catching some sunrays and feeling a nice breeze from the ocean. The service was good with the only drawback being the unavailability of champagne which my gf had been hoping for.

This review is for Hoolihans Irish Restaurant & Bar, Torquay QLD

Even though it looks and feels like your typical Irish bar we certainly had a very different experience. Our barmen was training for some upcoming cocktail events and we assisted him in trying a number of his signature shots and cocktails. All of which not only looked amazing but tasted great also. He put on quite a show with his skills and was most impressive.

This review is for sunseeker motel, Scarness QLD

We stayed for one night at the Sunseeker motel and it was absolutely great. On arrival we were offered an upgrade and our room was quiet clean and comfortable. We also made use of the pool for a quick swim and were given some good recommendations on where to eat. Very good service and an affordable price close to everything.

This review is for Hervey Bay Motel, Urangan QLD

I was very happy with my stay at the Hervey Bay motel. It is straight across the road from the beach and there are quite a few eating options within short walking or driving distance. It is very easily accessible and also on the pickup route for tours going to fraser island. The accommodation is clean and fresh and their are some cooking utensils etc that you are able to use. We used the bbq facilities while there and had a lovely meal as well

This review is for The Surf Club, Mooloolaba QLD

verified email - 12 Jul 2015

The Mooloolaba surf club has a great view overlooking the water. The bar service was prompt and beer was cold. The food prices were on the expensive side I found and mixed quality. A half plate of prawns was $45 which was excessively expensive but nice. We also had roast for dinner which was a bit mixed with my meat being pretty good but my partners quite dry.

This review is for crust bakery, Minyama QLD

verified email - 12 Jul 2015

A very nice little bakery café about 7 minutes drive from the beach at Mooloolaba. I tried a couple of their pies which I found pretty standard but filling. The main attraction though was their range of different slices which looked and tasted fabulous.
