This a fish and chip shop/ fresh seafood shop. I have had the pleasure of using it for both fresh seafood and also take away. The seafood including prawns, oysters and mud crabs was well priced and of excellent quality. The oysters in particular were of a very large size. The take away battered fish was also fresh and tasted beautiful.

Set up in the middle of the restaurants in Airlie the Side Walk café has a really good vibe and an interesting range of food. Often with some international kitchen staff you can get a bit of variety in your dishes. The service was quite good while I was there even if at one stage they accidentally bought out our order twice.

Stopped in here for a few drinks and a game of pool recently while on holidays. It was a weekday afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. There were a couple of backpacker staff working and they were fun to chat with.

These guys do a great range of pizzas with very fresh products. The amount of topping you get on your pizza is awesome and it always leaves us with leftovers for the next day. Its a good idea to ring and order ahead as they are generally very busy and it can take a while to get your order done

This review is for Salt Seafood Bar And Grill, Airlie Beach QLD

We ate here twice on our recent trip for both breakfast and dinner. We highly recommend the big breakfast which fed both of us and was basically a mixed grill. It was freshly cooked and promptly served. We appreciated the discretion of the staff who served us even though my gf was barefoot while we were locked out of our room. Dinner was also very good with the steak being cooked to perfection. The staff are also very accommodating and friendly.

This review is for boathaven spa resort, Airlie Beach QLD

The Boathaven Spa resort started off promisingly but ended up a big disappointment for us while on our holidays. The positives were it was reasonably close to airlie so you could walk there but far enough away to still be peaceful. The rooms had plenty of features including a balcony, some pay tv channels and cooking utensils etc. The dissapointments began though when we found that unlike most motels that advertise pay tv there was no fox sports for the football even though they had a fox sports guide for you in the compendium. The dishes had not been washed properly from the previous occupants, the phone in our room didn't work on one day we were staying, they shut the reception down for the day in the mid afternoon. We had to help two couples who arrived to check in only to find that the reception phone was not working and they could not call the other mobile number listed because they had an international phone and to cap things off when we got locked out of our room my partner had to sit in her underwear for an hour bc they advertised it would be $50 surcharge for anyone who locked themselves out of automatic double door locking doors if we rang them before 8.30am....the only stars they really get is for the actual apartment and if you can get it cheap...it Is nowhere near 4.5 stars

This review is for Air Fraser Island, Fraser Island QLD

We jumped off our bus tour briefly to take in the full fraser island view and were rewarded with some absolutely beautiful scenes of nature. Many of Fraser Islands hidden lakes can only be seen from the air and we were also lucky enough to see some whales, turtles and dolphins in the water. At only $75 for an approximate 20 minute trip these guys are excellent and really well priced. Very worth it

Approximate cost: $75

This review is for Eurong Bakery and Cafe, Fraser Island QLD

We stopped in at this little bakery for a snack while visiting Fraser Island. As far as bakers goes it is of a reasonable standard without being an award winner. Though I am sure their bread would probably taste delicious when fresh while you are camping and want something to put with the fresh fish that you have caught. The staff are very friendly and the prices very reasonable considering there is no real competition on the island.

This review is for McKenzie's Restaurant, Fraser Island QLD

We ate at McKenzie's resort as part of a premium day tour we were on. The food tasted beautiful and was freshly presented. A note though - the fish and chip serving is definitely on the small side though very fresh. The steak sandwich is much bigger and very fresh and tasty. My partner was on the only one to order one of these while everyone else had the fish and chips. When they saw the difference in meals they all wish they had the steak burger. The service was very classy and there was also a nice sized buffet to pick from also.

This review is for Fraser Explorer Tours, Fraser Island QLD

Fraser Explorer offers a wide ranging number of tours which can suit different expectations and budgets. We did a premium one day tour (multiple day tours also available) and got to see the rain forrest, logging camp, beach, lake McKenzie and Eli Creek along with having a very good lunch at the Eurong resort. The tour guide bus driver was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job and made sure everyone had a brilliant day. Fraser Island is probably the most scenic place in Australia.
