I pay for annually for NRMA roadside assistance and luckily hardly ever need it. Late yesterday i was visiting family in Brisbane from golden beach. Driving around the car engine started smoking. I made it back to family unit and the car conked out. I rang NRMA, as I'm in Qld with a NSW company they rang RACQ for me to assist. The guy was with me in ten minutes! Lovely man,too bad i cant mention names, checked my engine thoroughly and said what he thought needed fixing but i needed to get it towed to repairers😟.
I rang NRMA again and he handled the call for me to get a tow. Im entitled to free towing over 100 km. but unfortunately i was 87 kl away from home. Mechanic,NRMA and RACQ were brilliant to me. They decided to pay for the tow home anyway. I was so grateful. This was all done in about 20 min. The tow company rang me when they arrived. Lovely driver,again wish i could mention names.we discussed lots of family matters and culture differences and his home problems on the hour+ drive to my mechanics up coast. Made the drive seem shorter. He was very careful with loading my car. All in all i felt very looked after and had no problems with any of the details from anyone. Please go get NRMA or RACQ assistance it certainly pays off when least expected so glad i have it .thanks so much to everyone

Small shop,old not very inviting. Late saturday arvo so not much to choose from. Neinish tarts weren't the traditional half pink half choc,they were all pink with choc drizzled over them,bought 2 and a large apple slice. Wasn't impressed with the tarts. Mock cream and tasted grainy,very little jam in them and pastry was very hard. Apple slice was overly big .partner said it was ok. Shop needs revamping,lady that served me wasn't friendly. Cost over $12 for the 3. Wont go back and try more though.

Great place to wander to after the yummy burgers we had not far from here. Place us small but bright and clean. Seats outside on the footpath or walk down to the beach,situated on main st . We had a cup fir $6:50 which gave us 3 flavours. I chose black cherry,pineapple and mandarin. Mine was heaven, haven't had those flavours before and they were so like refreshing and tangy. Loved the mandarin best,cleanses the palate. Pineapple had bits in it and so did the cherry, couldn't fault them. My partner had chocolate,pistachio and cookies & and cream. I tasted his chocolate and it was very rich and too heavy for my liking. I will stick to the fruit ones. Happy with what i had and the cost. Not overly friendly staff just polite as they should be. Will make it a habit lol

Found this little gem on the back of a shop a docket. 2 for 1 burger deal so we ventured down for Friday night dinner. Quiet little place down on the boardwalk at the beach. Was half hour to closing but a few people still there. The burger was absolute perfection. Even had cheese on it for no extra $! The bun stayed in one piece till the very end. Very nice bappa bun i think it was. Lovely salad not too much to make it fall out when you're eating ,which i hate. It all stayed together. Himemade meat oatty was soft,moist and tasty.They did put the wrong sauce on both burgers but i will let that pass. Potato scallops were differently crispy , tasted nice,good thickness and big,just rather oily that it soaked through the paper bag and they put salt sachets on the bottom of that box which wasn't a good idea. 2 drinks and 4 potato scallops and 2 for 1 burgers cost us around $22 . Lovely menu of fish items or burgers. They also have gelati next door which we will try next time. Burgers with works were on,y $10:50. Try it when you are down on kings beach ,lots of seats to choose in site or 10 metres at the beachfront

found a lovely little black sparkly over jumper for a dress that i have . works perfectly with it. shop is quite big and roomy. dressing rooms are down the back. helpful staff that got dresses too high up on the rack down for us. love my cardy for $20 even a size im impressed with lol 3 sizes smaller than my usual. lots of trendy stuff for the younguns lol but some nice older pieces for us mature folk too lol will keep browsing when im down there

dropped in for a late night meal,thinking places would be closed but found this gem still open at 7ish.
lovely presentable shop. nice staff, the girls are lovely. extensive brilliant menu.everything looked and sounded so nice.
comfy seats fro eating in, soft pillows on the wall seats were a nice touch.
we ordered a lamb burger with relish and a a big beefer a karma cola drink which was different and an appletiser for me.
the wait wasn't long, we were the only ones there lol but it was quite quick. well the food was presented to us and we saw it coming our way and i looked at my partner mouthing OMG its huge lol
the burgers were brilliant! i had to cut mine in half to get it in my mouth. my partner ,well it was the only time i have ever seen him struggle with eating a burger but it was so enjoyable! the patties are home made and about 2 inches thick and so tasty! usual burger salads on it and very filling. we ordered 2 potato scallops also yeah by this time you know its a must for me lol i can say they are in my top 3 for the scallops and top 2 for burgers! the scallops were handmade bug and lightly battered.beautiful.they have lots of burger choices ,kids meals,coffee.fish packs,salads ,cake etc. will definitely return. go check it out its by the beach or you can sit and enjoy onsite. cost us just under $30. burgers start from $8.50...they also do unusual marinated fish like lemon grass snapper,tahitian snapper,pesto crumbed barramundi. so something for everyones taste. and gf options. great place guys well done

found this by accident exploring my new surroundings.
great big shop ,very white and blue and very bright. opening hours vary,they close for a couple of hours for lunch each day bar fri sat sunday where they are open all the time.
they have a great menu, prices are reasonable, the owner has a lovely english accent of some sort. shop is very clean and has freezers for bait as well , opposite the water to go fishing or sit at tables on site or across the rd and watch the birds,boats etc, lovely and serene.
we had 2 pieces of fish, chips, 3 beautiful home made potato scallops,in a pack and 2 extra prawn cutlets. and 2 rather large calamari serves. all beautifully cooked, crumbed and tasty. nothing was greasy. the chips are slightly bigger than maccas but tasty and not oily. all up it cost us $35 which is pretty good for the amount of food we got. the fish was thick and didn't fall apart.they also do lots of burgers and have a great selection of drinks.will definitetly go back again.

absolutely love this place. the dumplings are to die for .the dumplings are made right before you. you can watch the chef make them.prices start at $5 + .decor is very asian in black and reds. can get very packed out on fri sat nights. lots of dishes to choose from and they have a chines restaurant attached as well. went with friends and we all ordered different dishes to share. give it a try for something different
