sunday night out cruising looking to take pics of the super moon and got hungry so mosied on inside this place.
vast range on the menu. large shop, friendly staff and clean. plenty of car parking out front and 2 big tables to sit down and eat at outside.
partner chose chicken burger with bacon,i chose hamburger with honey mustard sauce, nice to have a choice rather than tomato or bbq. small chips, wonderful yummy prawn twisters 3 for $4,20 i think, 2 potato scallops and 2 drinks came to $39. well i must say we didnt wait longer than ten minutes and the burgers were quite big and soooo nice. esp coming with beetroot. the bun was larger than the ingredients which was great as nothing fell off when eating it. yummy sauce and not overly put on so that it dripped everywhere. only 2 things with mine ,they forgot to take the rind off the bacon so when I bit into it i had a mouth full of rubbery rind and the meat patties ,homemade, needed a bit of spice ,it was a bit bland. all in all the burgers are near perfect. my partner absolutely enjoyed the chicken burger.
chips were thick cut and not greasy, fried in fresh oil as they were crispy and not greasy , the same with the potato scallops big scallops crispy thin batter and home made. very full tummies and very happy.
they also have smoothies, desserts, main dinner meals ,snacks and sandwiches.potato bake and veges looked good in the bain marie and this was 6.30 at night. pretty good place for lunch or dinner or snacks I reckon. will certainly return for a look at something .
burgers start at $8 which is really worth it

we made a last minute decision to come here for Friday night dinner.
well parking was easy as the car park is huge. 5 people in front of us in line ,place looks busy.we were seated over by the large windows looking out over the water. lovely night lights from houses and boats. menu is overly large, literally its like a newspaper page. staff are lovely and friendly. Chairs were really nice and comfy. decor is bright, tables big.
we ordered rump steak and veg and the fishermans basket and 2 drinks and garlic bread ,ended up around $70. steaks are in the $26-32 mark
drinks came in 5 mins, my lemon lime and bitters could have been colder. garlic bread came in ten minutes and was lovely and hot and buttery, we thought a great start to the meal.
well 15 minutes later our meals arrived.
mine was overly cooked and very very burnt, I mean if the cook won't eat it what makes you think I am?
the prawns were crumbed and burnt ,i took a bite and chewed and chewed, trying to the find any sight of a prawn. My partner asked will he take it back?
I looked for the fish, found 2 brown fingers of fish on the bottom of the sea scallops which I gave to my partner because I don 't like them .
so 2 fingers of fish, luke warm chewy calamari fingers overdone again, the batter on everything was thicker than the food it covered. 3 crumbed brown prawns, and a salad of shredded beet and carrot with a sliver of onion and a very limited amount of creamy tasteless dressing. I gave up and said to one of the staff look this is really burnt and not nice, she was lovely and said she will take it back to the kitchen and asked would we like complimentary drinks whilst we waited. so we took her up on that offer. in the meantime my partner got through his very black on one side steak but was cooked to his liking ok, on a bed of mash and beans and broccoli. and gravy
10 min later a new plate of food came out for me. looking much paler and more appetising. pity it wasn't the case. I ate it because I was hungry . not quite sure if the seafood was fresh or boxed but i was leaning towards boxed, the prawn cutlets were overly crumbed and made a mess with each bite. very tiny prawn covered in a mass of crumb. they need to cook fresh seafood and nothing had a taste really. coriander in the salad makes it hard to eat and get into ones mouth .i personally dislike that in a salad.
salad wasn't much with a couple of tiny leaves of different lettuce and 2 small wedges of tasteless tomato. things would need to have improved for me to return. Friday nights kids eats free I think. place is lovely and clean and roomy. lots of people there but not overly crowded. my second drink was far better than the first too. lots of different things on the menu, chicken dishes, beef, salads ,pizzas . have a try though if you are around the area .you may get something better than what I had. open for lunch as well. views are lovely from the deck

Friend and I decided to try this place after a movie late one week night. Was pretty empty ,only 4 other people there. Took quite some time to come take our orders. We ordered the spicy pork to share as we didn't know how big the serves were and it was basically the only thing we trusted on the menu lol. Took about 45 min to get our huge plate of food,we were starving!
Well we also got a concoction of a Korean salad with quite a hot little number on it! S much so I think I drank a litre of water.the crunchy sprouts were nice tho. The spicy pork was a but hot for both of us as well lol we didn't finish it. The decor is very asian, reds ,browns, statues ,the lighting. Quite pleasant. Wont be going back as not a lot on the menu we liked. Chicken feet and some other odd things we weren't used to.if you want something different definitely go for a try. Its up the top of the myer centre in bris cbd movie level

Great place to sit and relax on a sunny arvo. Great when they live music. Haven't had meals here only meet ups for drinks. Place can get packed out on weekends and when markets are on. Staff are always happy . Parking is usually in the car parks at south bank and pretty exe so try and do public transport, though parking is cheaper on w.e or for early birds.great atmosphere

Had dinner here a few times and I agree about the view being spectacular especially at night with the lights skimming over the water. Lovely roomy seating. Menu is quite good with seafoods, steaks and specialty dishes. We had seafood and steak. Steaks were cooked superbly and the seafood was lovely and tasted so fresh with the yummy salad and dressing. Lighting can be romantic lol parking is in a good sized car park so easy to find a space. Prices are good. Drinks are a bit exe though. Staff were lovely attending to our needs. Will keep going back.

This book store has popped up where a gift shop was since last time we visited 2 weeks ago. Ph number has Sydney, docket has hope island on it but its in the plaza lol. Next to the linen place on the boardwalk cinema side. Everything is $6 so that caught my eye straight away. Lots of superb books for every taste . Kids and adults, collectors, humour, cooking. Lovely hard covers and funny titles. Shop is a little squishy no room for prams btw . Some people just brought them in anyway. I bough some fun books and my fave character GARFIELDs address book. I bought 2 very funny books for adults which cant be mentioned here lol. Great bargains and you can find almost anything for $6 so you know how much you're up for at the checkout. Hope its still there when I go back

Ventured here sat night. Looked at a menu that we have since found to be very much out of date. Opening hours are wrong, gelato they no longer have. Quite a clean shop, lighting is a little dim. Lots of tables and chairs to eat in or wander down to the beach 1 street away. We ordered 2 cod $15,calamari and chips $8:40 and 2 potato scallops $2:20 and drinks 3:90.
Prices were ok and comparable to other places. Parking is down the side st which is best because the main street gets packed.
Quite a few people in front if us but service was fairly quick about 15 min. The fish was quite big and thick just a shame it was burnt and dry and the crumb was hard and stiff. I pulled my crumb off and gave the last 1/4 of the piece to my partner as i found it unappetising. Chips were ok,scallops were very messy with overly crumbly batter. But thick and ok. Calamari they knew how to cook, though the bits are very thin.
Will give it another try at some point but this visit was a bit disappointing

Went to buy a GO CARD to replace a lost one. Didn't know they were $20 ! Parking is hard to get in this area of shops as their isnt a lot. Parallel parking for about 8-9 cars infront is usually full because of all the shops there. Took a chance and found a space and asked if they have GO CARD . Yesss at last ,not many have around here. Lovely friendly lady, old, fashioned country sort of service. Small shop but seems to have a lot crammed into it. Clean and well lit. Will venture back when I need to do a longer shop. Very welcoming

Had to be towed from brisbane to home sat arvo and partner rang this guy to help me out. Wonderful service.i was scared of the repairs and the bill after that scenario. Husband and wife team and boys do help. Family and local business which is even better. My repairs were done efficiently and without fuss, we were informed of what was to be done along the way. I was even picked up as im only 5 min away, to get back to the workshop . Lovely down to earth friendly people.
The workshop is absolutely spotless lol unusual for a mechanics. Everything in it place and the floor is so clean and un messy . The total bill was a pleasant surprise .i didnt have to mortgage a house lol
Will be my mechanic in future. Ended up just having leads and plugs replaced and radiator cap after driving to bris and around for 2 hrs, so was very very lucky no more damage.
Thanks guys

Needed some paint matched for a job I had to fix on a timber wall,so went here and asked. Lovely friendly helpful knowledgable lady who served me and explained the process and what my best needs were as in amount if paint etc.
Picked up next day and the match was perfect to the empty can i left with her.$60 well worth it.
Lots of other paint needs in the vast store. Lighting needs to be brighter though ,i thought was a bit dull. Limited parking out front but great bits and pieces for painting and building needs and staff know what they are on about. No problems
