The secret to eating good Indian food is to focus on the vegetarian food. Most of India is vegetarian, so their vegetarian food is amazing and filling.

Sultan's Kitchen has a wonderful selection of vegetarian food. This includes 4 types of Dhal. Oh in India cuisine, you need a Dhal on the table for every meal. This is a lentil stew. We just went with the basic Dhal Masala, which was nice, but basic.

We also ordered several other delicious vegetarian dishes as well as a couple of Naan breads. The fruit naan is delicious, though prefer to stick to plan naan breads to go with the spicy food.

Really nicely presented and delicious food. This is a great place to eat. With mains around $40, you will also expect that you need to order an entree, side or dessert fora full meal.

We made the mistake of skipping the entree and just ordering mains, but we made up for it with desserts. It was still a great experience though.

Then of course there is a wonderful selection of wine. So while the food is excellent, expect to pay for the experience.

Asian Foods serves a generic mix of the sort of Asian food that is popular in Brisbane. Good for the cheap prices and large serving sizes. Not too greasy either.

These guys do noodles. Not the sort you will get in any of the countries references, but still quite nice. The noodles are a little bit greasy, but if that is what you want from you meal, go for it.

With a name that includes the word "Great" you can tell these guys have aspirations. The thing is that they try to live up these expectations. When it comes to food, they are also trying a little bit harder. They don't just do good food, but step over into the great.

The prices can be a little high, but are much better when you order the set dinner combinations. Prices vary on different nights.

With great options for coffee, cake, light meals and full meals, this is one of the reasons i like Coorparoo. I like to come here for the pasta, which is about $17 or $18, while my friend prefers the meals, which are closer to $30.

There are also things like burgers and pizzas as well if you prefer.

I suspect that the cuisine here is SIngaporean Chinese, but still reasonably good if you go past things like Mongolian Beef (which is really just an Australian dish) and Honey Chicken (China has so many other delicious types of Chicken, why do I want to eat this greasy and overly sweet rubbish).

I personally go here for the crispy chicken (served will all the bones).

I would just like to remind you that Confucius himself wrote that at a banquet a gentleman will eat mostly rice, then lots of vegetables and a little bit of meat.

My problem is that there were not enough great vegetable dishes on their menu, so we couldn't quite follow Confucius on this. Anyway, we didn't have that much rice. I guess I am not a Junzi (Confucius gentleman).

Still they are trying, could have done with a few more dishes that are famous from Confucius' home province, but still it is good.

Normal price is around $30 while on week nights they have specials, which are half the price. So all I can say is that the weekday specials are great, filling and great value for money. Actually double that price and it will still be worth it.

This review is for Stones On The Lake, North Lakes QLD

Food served on hot stones (like big square cut slabs, not just an random rock), though I suspect the ice cream is served on cold stones (not sure how cold as we didn't order the ice cream and it would have been rude to go around touching strangers stones).

My view is that this place is interesting, and you should try it for yourself. I will go back if I am with friends who want to try something different. But I found it a little bit gimmicky and the food itself didn't manage to impress beyond the gimmick. By that I mean the food is excellent, but the gimmick is a one off.
