I've never had such great sushi in my life,and I've eaten tonnes!do go out of your way to try this place!its in the shopping centre,you pass more fancy looking places on your way in such as a sushi train,but this place makes up for it in the quality of sushi!the chefs are all happy,efficient,knowledgable people,and the sushi is amazing!theres sooo many varietys I"d never even seen elsewhere such as soft shell crab,dragon roll(eel)and they have lots on black rice as well.the designs are literally beautiful,there's a huge selection of seafood eg salmon,prawn,etc and prices are extremely cheap,$2 for grilled salmon!here in Mackay we pay $3.50 just for a simple chicken piece!i was so impressed with this shop and can't wait to go back to cairns for more!!
Always fantastic ice cream,good clean shop right on the esplanade so super convenient.only issue was a few times when I went there the manager was quite rude and pouty over having to swap my ice cream choice for me..all the other staff were really lovely though :) definately best ice team in cairns!
The best gelato I've ever ever had,and the best in Cairns!the flavours are divine,they can even make it to your taste.i had pistachio which was just beautiful,and also the hazelnut which tastes like Ferraro rocher!the staff were super friendly and really genuine,the place is lovely and clean,and the prices are extremely good.definately stop in and check this place out,even if you're like me and usually eat ice cream!
Stayed here two nights in cairns last month,the rooms were ok,a little grubby,and the hallway carpet was dirty,housekeeping needs to clean more.the staff were nice first day but second day were quite rude,the manager Gaye doesn't care about your concerns,does the standard apology etc.we stayed elsewhere and loved it,plus it was half the price.great view though but nothing else.
Been to mackay OBJ"s alot and wish it was as good as this one!we had huge serving of mixed ribs,they were so soft and juicy,they have to give you a bib to eat them lol.we also had the mixed entree which had excellent calamari,spring roll and potato skins,it was so good,but also very filling so don't buy a huge meal.the prices are ok,it was worth the cost.great staff,and the actual place is wonderful and clean.
This place is lovely to look at,lovely to sit at,but food is only ok.inhad salt and pepper calamari which was a bit too salty,and my partners burger wasn't great either,I've had better at fish n chip shops.staff were friendly,all happy young pele which was a good thing.prices were a little more then I expected too,would maybe go again but if it was the same as last time wouldn't go back.
A big tavern located in the Raintrees shopping complex in Manunda,they have pokies,a restaurant,bars and everything taverns have.the only thing that stood out for me with this place was the lack f security,considering its in such a bad area.so if you're going here,please be careful as the neighbour hood has a huge amount of crime.
An awesome venue known for its live music,Dunwoodys has been around for years as its a popular spot for locals and backpackers.its a very well established bar,for both food and drinks,they have a huge selection of international beers,and the food is always very good with a big variety.more of a rock bar then a nightclub,great for those who like their music live and old school rock!
An excellent site for travellers,you can read reviews posted by travellers,and can also write reviews.reviews are always honest and helpful.its free to join and is well worth reading before booking a motel or eating out etc.
Awesome backpackers in cairns,dorms are so cheap and really clean and secure.upstairs is the attic nightclub which goes off,is always packed and has many events from wet t comp to live bands,to modelling comps.drinks are cheaps,everyone's having a great time,great night out all all
soft shell crab sounds yummy! didn't even notice the dragon rolls!
