Sails is located out at the harbour,the bar is literLly overlooking the marina,its beautiful,breezy and very pleasant.you can order a pizza and other food from either the bar or next door at the excellent fish and chip shop,or go next door to the steakhouse for a huge steak.the pizzas are superb.this is the best place for a Sunday session,the live bands are great,it's always busy,and the people are friendly,it's a great vibe.its also great to take the kids as there's a huge playground across the road.
This little shop is quite busy most nights,it's located on nebo road so quite popular with locals.when I went I've ordered battered fish which is a large serving of nice thick fish,the batter is extremely thick too though,so if you aren't keen on much maybe get it crumbed.the pineapple fritters are nice,they use cinnamon sugar which is delicious,again though the batter is quite thick,it would be nicer is it was thinner and you could taste the pineapple more.i will say though the crumbed prawns are delicious,they are really good.the chips are fine,not great but not bad either,so all in all a good place to get basic fish and chips.prices are standard.
This resort is so lovely,it's set in tropical surrounds,has a beautiful pool and is close to the beach.the accommodation is very clean and enjoyable.prices are suitable for such a nice place.sunday sessions here are infamous,there's usually a live band,lots of friendly people,kicking back with an ice cold drink.definately worth a look or a stay whilst in mackay!
Since this club became Karma instead of platinums,it's lots better.the new renovations means the clubs alot bigger,the space has been utilised more,there's more djs and seating,and the balconys are both open.the bar staff is good,there's a lot of staff so you don't wait too long in line,try have a huge selection of drinks which are normal nightclub prices.the music is great,it's one of the most popular clubs in mackay.
A good family motel located right on nebo road in mackay,5 mins walk from town and next close to KFC,chattaways cafe and the a fish n chip shop.also across from the bowls club.the rooms are ok,the motel is an older style,so a bit cheaper then other places,but still good.parking is adequate,there's a pool for the kids,all in all a good cheaper motel to stay in.
Main streets been around for ten years,and during this time it's had many different owners,it gets renovated,re renovated etc,but it's still always the same place.the service is good,of course when it's busy they're stretched thin,but they have heaps of staff.the place is huge,dj"s are always great,dancefloor rocks..a good club in mackay,even after ten years.
Located on the Main Street in Mackay,the Austral is one of mackays most popular eating and drinking bars.they are famous for their amazing steaks.the meals are a little exxy,but the quality is amazing,so worth the extra money.the bar has a pool table,TAB,keno,horses etc,a good place to meet your mates and go from there.
I saw the lawyer Peter Clarke for a criminal matter,he handled my case extremely well,he stayed in touch with me and updated me constantly,faxed me papers when he said he would etc,very good service.there office is nice and small,so they have a very one on one business.there are two lawyers,Peter Clarke and eddie wood,they cover family and criminal law and other matters.i sincerely recommend them if you ever need a lawyer.the fees were extremely reasonable,especially considering how much he helped me.
Good motel,right on nebo road,5 mins from mackay city heart so very convenient.rooms are spacious,clean,24 hr check in,austar,Internet etc,pool is lovely and clean.service is great,the managers are very nice people.this is an above average motel,one of the better ones in mackay.
The pocket trader is one of mackays most popular way to sell and buy goods/rent a room etc.it is free to advertise,though the book now costs $4.it comes out every fortnight on a Friday.you can advertise everything from rooms for rent,cars for sale,wanted work,community notices,baby items etc.ypu can advertise by email,phoning them or writing,so very covenient.
