Had a really good coffee here during a business meeting. Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly as I was looking to plug my laptop in but unfortunately there was nowhere available to sit with a power point.

Also tried a yoghurt and muesli which was ok but nothing special. That's only because, to me, muesli is nothing special. I found the menu a little limited but it could just be what was on offer on the day.

Still, enjoyed the coffee and the pleasant ambience.

I've been here many times for breakfast with a networking group and the food is always excellent. It's standard fare - bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt - but it's a great start to the day!

The service is friendly and parking is easy. A nice atmosphere and friendly people make it an excellent place to stop in for breakfast before work if you're in the area.

Ok so the prices are not bargain basement but that's not what it's about at the Sourced Grocer. It's about quality and enjoyment. The place is a little bit alternative, a little buzzy, the coffee's good and the food options on offer are plentiful. You can also do your fresh produce shopping and they usually have the best of the best for sale.

I love going into the cold room where all kinds of treats are on display. I bought Pepe Saya Cultured Butter and it was worth every cent.

Service is friendly and the vibe is trendy and bustling.

I love the Waterloo! It's a great place to eat, drink and be merry. Every Tuesday night is Trivia Night and I went for the first time last night. It was well organised, lots of fun and very civilised.

Tuesday night is also 2-4-1 pizza night so all in all, it's a great night out without costing the earth. The pizzas were delicious!

Parking is right outside, decor is lovely and the service is friendly and helpful. For a Tuesday night with not much on TV, it's a great way to spend an evening in the company of other spirited people!

These days, marketing is not about old school techniques. Mike from Engage Marketing is right up to date with guerilla strategies that get more bang for buck and catch consumers' attention. His business provides clients with marketing consultations and marketing plans, assistance with social media marketing, email template design and web design.

Engage Marketing helped me to design my newsletter template and I was very happy with the attention to detail and how obliging Mike and his team were in meeting my specifications.

I've worked with Mike on a number of projects for clients (either his or mine) and have found him to always be efficient, reliable, creative and completely up to speed on latest practise.

It's no wonder video stores are following the dodo bird to extinction. There's no pride in them, for starters. A couple of times, I'm rung this store to ask them to hold a movie, and both times, I've turned up and the movies were given to someone else.

The selection is ok, the service depends on who's on duty (sometimes great, sometimes average). Parking is easy right out the front. Plenty of snacks to choose from. Entertainment Book has vouchers for Network Video.

Every fortnight, House Clean Brisbane gets my housework up to date for me. They clean the bathrooms, floors, kitchen, microwave and do the dusting. They do an excellent job and are always so pleasant and friendly but they never waste time. Two people come so that they are both here for just 1 hour.

Their pricing is excellent and they take great pride in their work. Can't say enough positive remarks about Brisbane House Clean. Love their work! :)

Parking has become prohibitively expensive in the City. Sure, I'll give you $57 to park my car!! I don't have anything better to do with my money than to buy extremely temporary real estate!!

Go to the Irish Club and sign up for membership for $44/yr and you'll get $20 day parking and $10 night parking here for the whole year.

Quality is fine, service is invisible but I guess they do a good job with the upkeep. It's very hard to find your way back to the carpark on week nights when most of the internal doorways are locked. Better signage needed.

Wow, these guys have become so expensive! $3.75 for a small brownie is ridiculous. Lucky for them, I love their brownies! Lucky for me, they're expensive so I only indulge very infrequently.

Their triple choc fudge brownie is awesome. You can get 2 for $6.50 (still expensive but better value, I guess).

I pretty much only bother with the brownies but they do have a nice range of cookies and other treats.

There are times when you simply can't leave the house to visit your regular doctor; for instance, late at night, when your usual surgery is closed (nights/weekends/holidays), when you have a child with a temperature or vomiting/diarrhoea, when you're sick and you have children at home, etc. So when you need a house call, Family Care Medical Services sends a doctor to your home. As long as your usual medical centre is closed (or about to close), you can book a home visit.

Pros - Visits are bulk billed (see below); convenience; cheap subscription fees (see below); a letter is sent to your regular doctor after a visit.

Cons - Sometimes you have to wait up to 4 hours as they send doctors out in order of patient condition priority, not order of call, but that's ok.

Patients of subscribing General Practices that are concession card holders (i.e. pension, health care card, DVA gold card), a child under 16 years or a Family Care Friendly Society member or a nursing home resident will be bulk billed.

Subscription for a family costs around $54 (from memory) per year. Free for Health Care card holders.
