Sandy Clark is more than a regular chiropractor. He doesn't 'click' or 'crack' patients but, in my opinion, achieves better results than those who do. He does use an activator tool which is gentler and more precise than traditional methods.
Sandy provides a more holistic approach to chiropractic care and helps patients with posture, neural pathways and many other elements that go towards improving one's health and freedom from pain.
I'll also be going to Sandy for an ergonomic consultation to prevent aches and pains caused by my desk occupation.
The practice is very well run and professional and all the staff I've encountered have been warm and kind. Parking is right out the front or under the building. Fees are on the affordable side of average rather than any premium level and health fund rebates are applicable. Hicaps machine available.

From my initial telephone enquiry this morning to the close of sale, I was impressed with the service from Empire Business Furniture at Windsor! Allan, who answered my call was friendly, helpful and professional and knew his products well. I went in to the store to try some chairs out and he was patient and empathetic. Once I decided which chair to buy, Allan organised for a member of floor staff to find an assembled chair in my choice of colour and load it into my car.
Hey presto, no assembly, no delivery charge, just a great new chair that I could easily unload from the car and put to use immediately.
Both gentlemen were upbeat and friendly and I won't hesitate to return again when I next need office furniture.
We went to yum cha at Aspley Oriental on a Sunday at around 11am. The place is bustling and almost at capacity. The trolleys make their way around the restaurant efficiently and laden with tempting goodies. The food itself is delicious! You can choose from deep fried or steamed yum cha as well as various other treats such as steamed greens, baked custard tarts and mango pancakes which are awesome!!
The staff are great at explaining what they're carrying and always have a smile ready.
Yum Cha at Aspley Oriental is a delight. Don't go if you're looking to linger over the Sunday papers. It's strictly 'get in, fill up and get out'. You never feel unwelcome but it's understood that you're there for a feed, not for a couple of hours of chit chat.
Compared to the issues of paid parking in Chinatown, Aspley Oriental offers a practical alternative. You can park, feast on yum cha then do your groceries or other shopping at the Hypermarket. Yum cha is available 7 days a week. Definitely try it!

Usually when you walk into a Greek restaurant, you are greeted with delicious aromas. At Kafe Meze, we were underwhelmed. The decor is fine and the seating comfortable enough but there was nothing special about our experience. There was no music playing the whole time we were there and no sense of 'Greekness'. Even the wait staff are Asian and the only Greeks seemed to be in the kitchen. The wait staff were friendly and obliging and the service was very prompt.
The food itself was a disappointment. Everything cooked on the grill seemed to taste like the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while.
We won't return. It simply wasn't worth the $75 bill for two people.
I've bought from Cartridge on Sale a few times and have always been happy with the service, quick delivery and product quality. There is so much competition in the cartridges field that it's good to find a company who can beat others on their customer service.
Highly recommended. Happily, they sent me a sticker that I keep in a visible place so that when I need to order more cartridges, I don't have to remember the business name (there are many similar ones).
Now that the Chermside store is on hiatus, I had to try the Toombul store and I'm glad I did. Lisa did an expert job on my hair and Jake provided free entertainment in the form of amusing conversation, plus a GREAT scalp massage!
All the staff seem competent and friendly and seem to have a chemistry that helps them work effectively together. The store is tidy and clean and there are plenty of goodies to look at and buy.
Hairhouse Warehouse's prices are not budget but also not above average. And by joining their newsletter, you receive information about the frequent special offers they put on.
I don't think I've ever had a Zarraffa's coffee before, strange I know. Now that I have, I can say that it's every bit as good as Zarraffa's fans tell me. The staff at Toombul were friendly and smiley, qualities that are becoming rarer.
I like the sturdy cup and the raised sipper on the lid. Nice work, Zarraffas!

We had a slightly underwhelming experience at lunch last week. The problem with these high profile restaurants and their celebrity chefs is that the expectation is - perhaps unreasonably - high. The food was no more special than that that I've enjoyed at 'lesser' establishments though I will say that the brussels sprouts side dish blew my mind! That said, for a humble vegie, a side dish no less, to be the star of the show amongst $35 steak meals, seems to speak volumes.
The service was professional, the table was laid nicely and the presentation of the food was mostly stunning.
ARIA offer a $35 lunch special or you can enjoy a 1-, 2- or 3-course meal for semi-reasonable pricing. Alternatively, you can indulge in a 7-course degustation menu for $140 each.
Nothing was worthy of a complaint by any means but for people who dine out fairly frequently, ARIA was just comparable with Bretts Wharf (RIP!) which I've always enjoyed.

Being on efragrance's newsletter list, I received news that they were running a Father's Day promotion. Buy any Father's Day gift set and receive a double pass to see Madagascar 3. I love a bit of extra value with my purchases and the gift set I bought was already great value. I wasn't in any rush to receive it as it's for my son's birthday in November. Placed the order Monday and it arrived the very next day!! They also sent an email on Monday to say it had been dispatched.
Before placing my order, I rang the company with a question I had about something I was interested in buying but which wasn't on the website. The man who answered the phone was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and really added to the whole efragrance experience.
The parcel arrived very well packed and it contained a $50 off wine voucher for a partner company, a $15 voucher off my next efragrance purchase, a couple of fragrance samples and some very fragrant ad cards.
All in all, a thoroughly pleasant shopping experience and I'll be thrilled to recommend them to everyone.
I had originally called another Cheesecake Shop enquiring about a particular cake and was met with a frosty reply ("look, we need more notice than that!"). Fine ... plenty of other Cheesecake Shops around, don't need to be snippy on the phone.
We decided to buy a cake 'off the rack' from the Wavell Heights store and chose the coffee pecan torte. It was so fresh and delicious, it was devoured!
Next time, I'll have to remember to go to the Cheesecake Shop website and download the $5 off voucher! Doh!
