Quite a nice little place inside toombul shopping centre near dick smith. Its a carvery and serves great food and coffees and drinks
Open 9-5 most days and on the weekend
Clean,tidy,nice staff.
We had a special of a late breakfast of toast sausage egg tomato for around $10, sausages were a little, brown but other than that the service was fast and staff were friendly. Coffee was great .
Will try more things next shopping trip but have a go when you are near the food court.
Absolutely love this place with all its unusual japanese items, always walk out with like $50 + everything is $2:80 so easy to keep, track of what i spend. Nice lavender trolleys to use ,everything from snax to gardening to kitchen and more. Aisles are wide ,well the first one isnt lol but beight lighting, friendly staff well, worth a look in chermside westfield
Approximate cost: $3
Long time since we were here ,so today passing thru we had to have pies .
Shop has been renovated very nicely.
Bigger and brighter and room to,sit down inside to the left now. Beaut big display cabinets but still gets packed. I love that they habe bundaberg drink.love my blood orange . Cheese and bacon pie was nice held up well but really needs more cheese and bacon to taste them. Couldnt really find or taste the bacon ,tiny bit of cheese melted under the top. Nice chucnks of meat and not sloppy with gravy but yeah needed the taste .
Great shop tho and will continue to visit.the cakes all look awesome now,in the bigger display. Cost us $16;80 for 2 pies and 2 drinks
Back here again,a few new pies on the menu from peoples suggestions. Like chicken parmigiana pies omg scrummy. Prices arent much more over the years add another 30/50c. Drive thru still works.great parking for trucks and vans, little tricky to manouvre now with new signs and rds. No huge pie to see from the rd ,shame that had to,go. Still the same long line up lol but a great pit stop
Approximate cost: $6
Came here this afternoon for a late lunch, been open for a little while but faily new store.
Place is pristeen right near woolworths .
Nice bright lighting, bright display cabinets as soon as you walk in.
Nice looking puffy light pies and sausage rolls, cakes, salads on rolls or foccacia type breads.
Prices are a little exe but seevice from a lovely young boy was very polite and professional.
We chose a plain pie for $4:90 i think it was and a cheese and bacon for $5:70.
Plenty of car park spaces outside . Pies were so light and filling ,only thing they were pale, cooked a little longer to get that golden look would, have been no complaints otherwise. The cakes looked so yummy and displayed nicely.
Other end of store is a cafe to sit and eat and drink. Decor is nice oranges and green ,bit like irish colours lol
Will, return to try a few more things .
Easy place to find opposite the beach on the corner just opposite the fountain in the main square.
We stopped to buy hot chips and watch the storm pass over the ocean
The chips, were way pricey . A large tray for $10 for mccains beer battered steak chips. Not even hand cut. They weren't greasy tho which was good. The staff were nice, the guy brought our order out to the car where we waited .
Place is a little dingy tho, they do wood fired pizza, burger deals which are cheaper than a large chips. Pizza starts from $14 ,pastas from $14.50 ,fish and chips are a bit pricey.
Place is clean ,the guys were friendly ,nice balinese head out the back in the garden. Bit out of place tho .Cheap plastic table and chairs out front ,maybe put table cloths on them ,make it look a bit more italian pizzaish . Large menu of pizza and pasta so will return and try. The place just needs a few up market touches to make it stand out. Lighting is dark inside and the drinks fridge needs more variety ,we all dont drink coke?
Approximate cost: $10
Great open place for our dinner on a Saturday night tho,it does get packed .parking has to be in the shopping centre behind it because there is no street room.
They have events sometimes and dancing. Seats are inside or out on the street. Undercover so all good. Waiters are nice but they should teach them to address customers correctly not so liberal.
We had a beef dish cooked for over 9 hours ,so succulent and tasty ,spicy yes but good.
Casava chips were good and empanada was our other choices, cant fault them beautiful spices and aromas . Partner had an Aquila beer and was impressed .all up with drinks was a good relaxing night. Cost was $120 there abouts ,cant find the receipt . Worth a try if you are in that area for something different, nice big bar to sit and watch the world go by
Approximate cost: $120
Lunch here yesterday and considering it was raining was quite crowded.
Nice sturdy seating outside, painted murals on the wall, eat inside or out .
we chose out on the street.
Menu is quite nice ,lots of choice. Drinks could be of a bigger variety ,fanta or water wasn't my choice as I dont drink alcohol.partner had some craft beer and he chose the staff burger . he didnt look at the price untill sitting waiting ,$23 for a burger. It better be some huge item.
I Chose the pulled pork with slaw and relish
. We also had the fries with cheese bacon and the most sweetest spring onions.
Well the chips are brought out in a novel bowl, like a camp enamel bowl, they were the best chips ive had for $8 the cheese sauce was dreamy and the salt on them lovely . My burger came ,brioche bun bit brown but tasted nice, pork was succulent nothing flash or out of the ordinary
For a burger, not a lot on it for the money either but it did taste nice with the relish.
Partners burger was 2 meat patties, cheese, tomato jam he couldnt taste, pickles and chicken. Wasn't much bigger than mine im afraid. Worth $23 ? Nope .he ate it but said it was ok for a burger and very disappointd at the size for the cost.
The best thing was the chips. The end cost for 2 burgers ,one chips and 2 drinks was $54 . Bit over the top. Remember when burgers were $6 and chips $2 and a drink. The prices these "gourmet"places charge at times are beyond it . Wasnt worth the cost but tasted ok. The girls serving were lovely ,not in your face and cleaned the tables as soon as people left which was good.
Will go back to try something else and those chips lol but wouldnt rave about them .they have kids menu and lots of different burgers . Drinks are disappointing
Approximate cost: $54
Great trailer sales on the erbachers lot. Friendly old guy good for a chat on quiet days. Trades under Slade fisheries.
Seafood is from their own trawler.
Yesterday we bought a bargain 2 kg of king prawns fresh from Mooloolaba for $25 ,score I reckon. Nice size easy to peel and they were delicious with my home made seafood sauce ,or the fried rice we had for dinner. Will have a look again next time we go to the market there.parking is abundant .easy to find but dont go in the rain like we did lol mud slide galore.
Approximate cost: $25
Saw this place on facebook and went searching saturday to find it.
What can i say, cant fault the place. Bench and suitable stools outside looking towards beach and traffic, cool breezes, not in the sun and lovely.
You can eat in or takeaway but the place was quiet at 1:30 so we stayed. Nice and bright, black red white decor.nice and new and fresh. The girls who servd us and took our orders were lovely and friendly without being in your face.
Extensive yummy menu of burgers and chips, salads, unusual drinks, and to,dopiemfor collin james gelato, yep we had that too ! Kids meals, dipping sauces, burgers can be just in a lettuce leaf with out the sweet bun and gf too, thickshakes galore tho i dont think id like the maple bacon one.
So we had cheesy dirty fries between the 2 of us $8:50 for a big silver old, fashioned milk bucket that looked like a bath,of chips with cheese and bacon melted ontop .
Partner chose smokehouse burger with wagyu and salad and onion fries and looked awesome.
I chose the porkbelly with spicy asian salad.
Both were quite big,not messy, sweet shiny bun. $15.50 and $14.50 other than the high price they were both wonderfully tasty and served on a bread boards with a knife,i like how the pepper n salt is also in the aluminium old fashioned buckets on our table.
They have differnt things like garlic butter and parmesan chips, beef, chicken, pork burgers
The only things i can pick from mine is it had "crispy" pork crackling in it but really it was so hard and unchewable that i took it off and left it, it was tooth breaking. Salad was purple cabbage, onion, mayo, carrot ,mint beautiful very filling.lucky we had a good bench with a view for the amount of time we had there lol
The time from order to,when when we got our food took a bit long we thought,20 minutes or so when we were the only 2 of 5 people there .
Place was getting quite busy as we went for gelato.
I had blood orange and cherry ripe $6:50 and partner had chocolate and apple pie,we talked him out of musk but asked for a taste and he didnt like,it so good on us lol after about an hour we finally decided to leave . Younorder pay and sit and we will be back to try some other yummy burgers and fries like the ultimate double bacon cheeseburger.
If you're in the area its well, worth stopping and trying. We had such a lovely afternoon
