Always visit this litte store when I havnt time to make birthday cakes. The variety changes often and I usually get one of the caramel or choc or blackforest cakes. So huge and taste divine,tho over the years I think the mudcake texture has changed and tastes more like a heavy sponge cake ,not as dense or rich as they used to be. The Store is smallish but very clean and bright with a big front counter and individual serves and drinks in the fridge. The also have all the candles and paraphernalia to go with the cake for the ocassion. Usually costs me $35/45 for a full cake. You v

I can't fault this place! Have had it twice now at 2 different markets. The guy serving is happy ,funny and very friendly. It is THE best salt n pepper calamari I have ever eaten!
A large serve in a box,golden,tasty,expertly cooked and tender ,comes with a few salad lettuce leaves and the most amazing creamy garlic sauce pot that tastes a little orangy to me and divine. Or u can have chilli sauce . All cooked fresh with a very short wait .cooked to perfection .$12:50 a serve and quite frankly its so moorish I could eat 2 serves all to myself it's that good.!Good on you guys, love you and will seek you out at fhe markets every time. Parking at the markets in ocean st or caloundra is limited on market nights but keep cruising and find a space

Ventured to Ocean st markets last night and wanted something yummy for dinner. Found this place whilst wandering around the food court.
Little shop in the centre ,of the food hall.menu looked good so we decided yeah lets try. I chose the pork belly with slaw apple sauce and honey mustard sauce on a roll . Partner chose the ruben.
We found a rustic table and 2 seats to sit and eat.
Omg is all I can say. My pork belly was so tender and tasty ,the slaw was just right thin but crunchy,the honey mustard sauce along with the sweetness of the apple was superb! The roll was average size soft floury outer ,nothing fell off or dripped off and to us thats a winner. I wanted another one lol cost was $11 or $12 . Partner said his was really tasty as well and he was licking his lips all the way through lol . They have bratwurst and sweet delights . Next time im having 2 rolls lol
Parking in big top is huge but be aware market nights are pretty full. The lady serving us was quite pleasant. Well worth it

This place has donut vans at ocean st markets mooloolaba once a month on friday nights and also caloundra st markets when they are on. We have tried donuts from both places and never disappointed . Last night at ocean st ,I had a raspberry plum jam one,fresh hot and so soft .partner had salted caramel and a lemon curd . By the noises he was making eating he really enjoyed them lol we have also tried the iced donuts whick are packed with all sorts of toppings . Bigger than usual iced donuts and taste is beautiful. $6 each or packs as advertised ,2 for $11 , etc ,they also have a loyalty card where your 6th six pack is free. Try the malteser one when its available. They change flavours weekly .market parking is a bit of a pain so go to the shop if your you're that way.
The man who served us could be friendlier but was ok serving people. Thoroughly enjoyable

Organised my partners birthday here .made phone calls and they were very helpful and easy to organise ..organised tables in the back room for 20 .staff were so nice and helpful and the club was mostly crowded. We had about 4/5 tables set up lengthways. The food was delicious,fish plates or beef nothing to complain about with the food. Reasonable costs. Anyone wanting alcohol paid for that themselves.I wasn't that rich lol.
Everyone had a good time. Its right on the beach,we were out the back overlooking the beach and the pool which 2 friends and myself ventured down to wade lol big club,clean ,lightings a bit dim but then could be romantic on a saturday night. All in all was a great night no problems and staff were great.cant do a cost individually but our meals were like $60 or so for both of us. We took a birthday cake and it was hidden in the kitchen till the end of our meal and he was surprised . A great night

A stop off as we drove home from markets. Good Idea I reckon.
Parking around here on a friday night isnt great but cruising for a few minutes we found a space on the esplanade. Tables and chairs outside to sit and devour this treat.
Prices are the same as the other places their and nothing really different to make you choose them but we wanted to try it.
About 5 people i front of us but the wait wasnt too long seeing as only 2 girls were working. The girls wernt talkative and customer interaction lacked ,can I help you and that will be $17:80. So that needs to be picked up a few steps.
We had large cups which was 3 flavours,I chose jaffa,lemon sorbet and raspberry sorbet. The jaffa actuall had real jaffas in it . I found 2 ,smooth flavour of gorgeous orange and chocolate was lovely,lemon cleansed the palate and the raspberry was sweet and a bit tart with real fruit .
My partner chose caramel macadamia which he said had not nuts and needed more caramel,cookies and cream he wasnt impressed with but the strawberry ripe was great, I tasted it and it was very much the flavour of a subtle cherry ripe with chocolate swirled over it.
Most of The flavours on offer weren't really any different than most gelato places but its clean,opposite the beach and bright and the ice cream is lovely. we will drop in again to taste more flavours tho.

Went looking for one of those new ant proof trays to put the food dishes on outside,for our cat.
Quite a big store but needs updating,I felt like I was in a 1970 shop.
Lighting needs to be brighter.
Aisles need to be sorted out evenly and not,higgelty piggelty.
I expected prices to be cheaper than Big W though but were higher on a lot of items. If im paying $800 for a cat or $1700 for a dog then Im going to a breeder not a pet store.
Service was just basic.
We found the tray for $21.95 after a little searching.
This is a great tray,we usually have to fight the ants when we leave food for our cat during the day outside but using this over 24 hrs now and not one ant has reached his dish of food. Brilliant at last.
You can also use the trays,different sizes for storing sweet stuff on to keep ants away or for,cakes at parties and bbqs safe.
I find this store a little outdated on the inside . Outsides a nice blue and you cant miss the place .parking is next door at the skating rink

Finally got a chance to see what this place was like today after all the online hype Ive read.

Parking is a nightmare for starters today around 4:30 on a sunday. Open 7 days.They also have a juice shop at one end which is popular with fruit and ice cream.
The store is quite big ,trolleys and baskets are available. Lots of variety in the f and v dept. ended up getting 1/4 watermelon,rasp,blueberries ,onions,potatoes,apples,cucumber,really soft over ripe bananas .not impressed when we got home with them.I peeled one to freeze and it was overly soft and fell in half , I Felt but we needed a few so took a chance wrong choice, spring onions ,3 mangos,3 small pineapples for $5 , $57 all up.
they sometimes have specials for locals if you show the fb ad.like a box of mangoes for $9 one day then a huge price jump to $19 a box the next. I think thats a bit much! Prices arent any cheaper than a few other stores ,its just convenient to shop because they have more variety. The girl serving us had more interest in what was going on behind us at the juice shop,or the next till,she kept looking over my shoulder,and not paying attention to customers which was somewhat rude. Service in the f & v part was lacking I think they are more interested in the juice shop part. Tables and chairs outside to sit and eat or drink. Try and go during the week day because the weekend is rather hectic. I wasnt really impressed with the reality from the hype.

This place is the best in the area. Been around for donkeys years and Im a frequent visitor. Todays visit was a surprise as the shop,has had a major renovation. Its been modernised into this century. Before,it was old looking and like the 70‘s but now its a much more modern and upgraded shop. The fryers have been moved to,the back and bot,on the side anymore, whole new store .new counters,kitchen,lighting. Brilliant new menu but the same items ,service,cooking etc. very nice. Bright inside and some tables and chairs outside.parking is a bit of a pain,stupid parking sign formthe week is totally confusing so be careful. Weekend is fine.
We had a pack for 2 for a very reasonable $18 and 2 drinks. 2 cod crumbed,chips,2 potato scallops and 2 seafood sticks. All cooked superbly as usual,not greasy,hot fresh and lemon included and we bought a tartare for $2.20 I think it was. All up around $26.
