Well ,friday night eat out time and we found this place . Hard to find parking tonight but after circling for about ten minutes got a space one st down on main st.
Its a small bright ,clean shop ,nice red white and blue aussie kiwi wall inside.
Few chairs to sit and wait . The menu is small as in written, its printed out and pasted over the big menu on the board above the counter making it a bit hard to read from back at the door which isnt thatnfar away. Very unprofessional! Was hard to find things as its all jumbled up. Kebabs $10 ,fish n chips $8:50 extras $1,drinks. $2
Salad is all layed out as in any other kebab place ,all looks fresh and nicely displayed. Drinks fridge is behind the counter but only coke items in cans and not a wide choice. No juice just fizzy drinks and water .
We ordered the deal of 2 reg kebabs,2 drinks and a chips for $20 so was a great deal.
No tabouli on offer just basics. The sauce is free and i had extras of pineapple and cheese, partner had cheese and mushrooms. So all up it cost $24 which was still a bargain.
I had hummus and sour cream sauces ,partner had chilli and sour cream.
The kebabs looked thick and nice being made, what I didnt like is the state of the sandwich press! Its absolutley black!
Paid and drove down to the beach a few minutes away to eat dinner. Service was ok,only one other person in front of us so about ten minute wait.chips were quite a vig serve in a foam container ,enough for the 2 of us and were nice and crispy and well cooked . The nice man said he marked mine so that they didnt get mixed up . Had a hs on the bag i assumed it meant hummus sour cream.
Not so much the kebabs though..... The bottom of my bag busted open and all the juices and some food fell onto my lap. Trying to get the kebab out was a major task as in the few minutes drive both got soggy. Took a bite of mine and omg it was hot chilli! He mixed up the kebabs anyway. So swapped with partner and drank half my drink lol
The kebab was mostly in the bag and I needed a spoon to fish it out. It was bland and nothing had a taste. I tasted pineapple and melted cheese globs once in a while but the meat and salad was tasteless I'm afraid. The sauce on mine was just watery, hummus is supposed to be thick.
Also the kebab had black charcoal bits all over it from the dirty grill! I was picking bits out of my food from the soggy bread. Threw the last quarter in the bin because it was so soggy and just had no taste . Afterwards I felt full but like I hadn't eaten anything because of the blandness. Sorry guys you need to really clean that grill! Leaving black burnt bits over food to sell just isnt on! The meat needs flavour and the so do the sauces . My partners kebab was as soggy as mine and he had it all in the bottom of his bag too.
Its value for money but not so in taste. The chips were yummy tho. This place is cash only.... So make sure you have it on you. Doesn't look like it gets packed on a friday night,we drove back past it to go home from the beach and the staff were sitting out in the st on a seat smoking so very quiet up that end of town.
Id go back to try the fish n chips but will give the kebabs a miss.
Friday nights they are open until 3 am

I find these donuts far better than donut time. Located inside big top, shopping centre on the corner around from woolies. Small store ,lovely girl served us. Huge range ,its hard to decide . Donuts start at $6 and come in little box.
I love the lemon meringue pie injectable. Novel idea but im not too sure about throwing away an empty syringe. You inject your custard into the donut. too many to choose from. Have a try though as a treat once in a while

Always loved the ginger factory . But its getting a bit outdated . We still love the walk around the yesteryear shops and the hardens are superb near the shops. Lots to eat and main shop at the front has everything ginger, souvenirs, jams, spreads, sweets ice creams ,the list is endless. The train that costs extra to tour around the property is still good. Doesnt get packed like it used to during holidays so its still a nice walk around the property . Parking lot is huge so no problems there . Tickets can be purchased from the front or at the train station up,the back ,you can get all sorts of deals now. The boat trip is quite fun theu the tunnel with the dancing girls lol
You can also do a factory tour which we did for $11 shows u start to finish of how the ginger is grown and harvested and processed i to many different items. Good learning process for city kids open from 9-5

Right opposite a park near the water and beach.lovely location. Parking is out front or behind near the park which is abundant.
Lovely friday night dinner here . Prices are a little ex pe but was expected. The wait staff were lovely, helpful amd friendly and could take a joke when I asked for the proper cutlery and not the salad cutlery to eat my mains.
Lighting is a little dull outside on the verandah but nice views. Lots of tables and well maintained and place was fairly full and run off their feet. I found the chairs tended to lean back further than I liked lol
Toilets were clean and neat.
We had entreés of scallops ,pork belly cauli in fig jam and thyme. Was succulent. Also the chicken breasts in palm sugar with asian greens. Not quite sure where the greens were tho but it tasted lovely and velvety
Mains were grain fed eye fillet, truffled mushrooms garlic mash and I had barramundi tho quite a small piece in pineapple and chilli sauce with tamarind. I must say even tho it tasted beautiful the chilli was terribly hot and I had 3 drinks during dinner. Dessert was to die for pina colada cremè brulée in coconut lime geleato was divine .it had a gorgeous burnt toffee on top just a thin layer . I couldnt taste the pina colada tho just the lime and coconut gelato in the velvety brulee. Partner also had a bottle of pinot. All in all it was lovely . Go for a walk along the beach after dinner ,make it a romantic night

If you know where the pancake joint was on bulcock st then head there.this place used to be inthe gemini inn but moved a few months ago.
Friday night ,parking in the st is a hit and miss . Lots of lovely sounding food on the menu .decor is a little dark but its in nice surroundings . Staff were helpful and attentive with our q of what some foods were like. We started with mo mo.pam frid pork dumplings with ginger ,onion and dipping sauce. That sauce was so dam good and I love dumplings, even my fussy partner enjoyd them. Lovely fresh flavours and not over steamed. $9.90
They have goat, chicken, beef dishes. I went for beef ,dont know if i can eat a cute goat lol. They do gluten free as well.
I chose the himalayan noodles with coconut sauce beges and herbs with beef. It was very tasty,a hit of flavour with every bite,a little watery for my taste but I did enjoy the flavours ,was cooked well.
My partner had the sherpa chicken, it looked and smelled divine.chicken curry in creamy sherpa sauce with veges. He enjoyed the unusual flavours of the veges with the fenugreek. A clean plate proves he loved it.
We ended the night with banana rolls $9.50. Theseare to die for.crispy banana roll with a plum sugar cream and vanilla smooth ice cream. Banana is in some sort of wrap but was delicious.
A good night out .drinks are the usual variety with the odd unusual one thrown in.. They do lunch and dinner open 7 days. Cost was about $80 for 2 of us.walked it off at the beach close by lol

Booked myself in for a massage a few weeks ago.felt it was time i had some me time.a one hr whole body massage for $65.
Place is bigger than it looks from the shop front. Was led to a cubicle and changed into a hosp gown thingy lol table was a little awkward but then what is comfy lol
The young woman I had had magic fingers! The hr goes so fast. Relaxing massage of my whole, body, the feet massage makes you tingle. Easy to fall asleep and i think i did after a little chit chat.i felt so relaxed.
They do other massages like remedial, chinese therapy,reflexology.acupunture. Cupping .i think the prices are reasonable. Cheapest is neck and shoulder for $25. Little hard to walk after a good massage lol try them if feeling in need . Parking is easy in a huge shopping centre and hours are usually 9-5 and even open sundays

Sat night takeaway decided to try this place ,used to be the aroona takeaway but now its the unusual fish and curry house. That drew our attention driving past a few nights before.
Well ,we took a dive and decided to have a try.
The guys and girls are very friendly and know how to cook. They explained the menu and told us specials .
The menu consists of indian curries and unlike what we thought of fish curry house ,also has fish and chips and sandwiches .
The place is still bright, clean and when we got there 4 others had come to pick up orders.
Comfy lounge and chairs to sit to wait.
Prices are really cheap. I couldn't believe the prices. They have cheap tues, wed where burgers sell for $9 and curries 2 with rice and a drink for $11.99!
We will try the curries next time but tonight was fish n chips night. Plenty of parking outside.
So we ordered family seafood pack. 2 cod, 4 calamari,4 seafood sticks,6 garlic prawns and $4 chips. We also got 2 drinks schweppes fairy floss which I hadn't seen anywhere yet and a Pepsi
Took about ten minutes.
We were really impressed with the taste of the lovely crumbed fish,it actually tasted fishy. Not greasy and the crumb was delicious. Large pieces too and thick. Everything was cooked perfectly and golden and tasty. The garlic prawns are really shrimp but crumbed, golden fried and tasty. The chips are really thick and seem handcut and have a lovely potato flavour. Calamari was perfect. Everyone was really impressed. We all went to sit down by the beach to eat dinner, so a good night .
Highly recommend locals to go try this place. You won't be disappointed. They have lots of packs to choose from and lots of extras at low costs.
Curries ,butter chicken, mango chicken, rogan josh etc . Have a try ,we will all up cost us around $38

Found this place Sunday arvo from a radio ad so decided to go check it out.
Easy to find in the shopping village on the opp side to woolies. Plenty of parking and the shop is the blue place in the corner.
2 customers in front of us,4 tables outside to sit and eat . Nice clean crisp blue and white decor. Drinks fridge with my fave bundaberg drinks, small ice cream freezer, and a fridge with mussels and fish and other bits and pieces.
Lots to choose from, burgers, fish deals, says sushi on the door but dont know about that, never saw any. Salads etc
So I choose a bundy creaming soda and partner chose the peach.we had a seafood basket for 2 which was $25 for 2 beautiful thick ,large lovely crumbed and no grease cod,2 large prawn cutlets,2 sea scallops which upyou can choose to have the roe on or off which is the only place I know that even asks because i dont like the roe.
1/2 serve calamari and small chips and a tartare that was missing but even so the basket was superb! Cooked perfectly,no grease, light chicken salt and served in a box. Great value too, drinks were $3:50 each and we bought 2 potato scallops @$1:50 each. Even a pineapple fritter that some places charge over $3 for was $1:50 which is quite acceptable. We sat outside at a table and enjoyed our lunch. Only thing I didn't like was even tho there were only 2 orders infront of us and 3 women working there it took almost 25 minutes to get our order. Very slow indeed. Other than that we both enjoyed the meal immensely. Ome of the best I have had. The potato scallops were large thick and greaseless. Calamari ,even tho a bit tiddly cut into really small bits was cooked to perfection ,I suggest they cut it thicker as it was think. Find it on the weekend and enjoy. Plenty of parking.they have all the extras even deep, fried mars bars , yuk lol.well worth finding. All up,cost for 2 was $35
