Maldini's is located in the popular Salamanca restaurant area, and offers traditional Italian food, but with a modern twist. It has a varied menu, with a few items I'm not game to try (rabbit and quail) that set it apart from other Italian restaurants. It's more up market than many other Italian restaurants in Hobart.
I highly recommend the tiramisu for desert!
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Darling Harbour. Aside from the great modern decor (including the hanging chairs), the food is fantastic. My favourite is the steamed vegetables with green curry dipping sauce - so good!
There is a lot of space in this restaurant and it feels clean and light.
Taj Palace is a great little Indian restaurant in a Tasmanian Heritage building. It offesr both dine-in and take away, and the take away is reasonably quick.
The food is yummy, staff are friendly and service is good.
The Duke cafe restaurant bar is a great place to have a meal and drink and catch up with friends. There are plenty of couches and seating to have a relaxing drink, and there is often live music on offer.
The restaurant section has a good selection on the menu, and offers good lunchtime specials.
I recommend the large selection of wood fired pizzas.
Fish Frenzy is a really popular fish restaurant where you can eat in or take away. You can sit inside or outside and watch the action around the wharf area of Hobart. It gets really busy on a nice summer day.
The food is nice, and not too oily like some places, and the service if fast and friendly.
I have used Gribbles pathology on many occasions to get blood taken. They bulk bill which is fantastic, as who needs extra medical bills?
The staff are always friendly and polite, making the task easy.
They don't take appointments so you just turn up when you're ready. I've never had to wait too long to see a nurse.
Results are always back very quickly.
I couldn't ask for better!
Approximate cost: $bulk billed
Nice little Italian restaurant in Battery Point which does pizza and pasta. The food is quite tasty.
I've been there with both small groups and larger groups. The service can at times be slow, but I guess a lot of restaurants can have their slow nights.
This is a great little restaurant in the Bellerive shopping/restaurant area. It overlooks the water so if you're lucky enough to get a table near the window you'll have a great view.
The decor is modern yet cosy and comfortable. As the restaurant is relatively new, everything is clean, and they have a number of new quality highchairs which is great if you're taking the family out.
The menu is varied and they also do takeaway. You can pop in for a drink or a meal. Great friendly service.
This business has a great range of garden supplies, including dirt, blue rock, mulch etc. Best of all they offer free trailer hire, so it couldn't get any easier than that!
They are reasonably priced in comparison to other similar businesses, but the free trailer hire definately makes it cheap as you can save on delivery costs.
This shop is conveniently located for the beach or the Wentworth Park track, whether you want to pick up a drink, treat or some take-away.
Their hot food is of a surprisingly good quality and I would definately visit again.
