Re-lay a small section of tiles in the middle of the kitchen floor. Out of 48 tiles, 30 are intact and reusable; only 18 new tiles are required.
Existing thick solid terracotta tiles. Grind out mortar joints 10 - 20 mm wide x 15 mm deep and re-mortar to neat finish. Tiles remain in situ.
To tile laundry and toilet floor
Original shower has a sloped floor that is very difficult for elderly owner. Raising the drain and levelling off the tiled floor would make this safer. Shower has a glass frame that would possibly need replacing.
