Looking at this chinese restaurant from the main road, you could easily miss it, not very appealing at all. I had previously tried this restaurant and was so disappointed that I was extremely apprehensive about returning, but friends had booked a table so I gave them another try.
Firstly, my satay chicken was horrible, never tasted anything like this before, cannot imagine how they got it so wrong. This was not a good start for me. We decided to share our meals - banquet like. The fried rice was almost cold and was lumpy, didn't taste fresh. The crispy roast pork and chicken was ok, about average. The garlic prawns actually tasted ok, probably the best part of the meal. Service was slow and unfriendly. Overall, no one was particularly happy with the meals or service, it was once again disappointing and my friends said they would listen to me next time. None of us will be returning.
This is a fabulous pub for catching up with friends as it is in the perfect location for everyone. Really like it here, open fires, plenty of seating, awesome food and very friendly staff.
Most recently I tried their paprika and mustard bread which we all thought was different and tasted great. Also tried their trio of dips served with flat bread, also delicious. For mains I once again ordered their Balhannah Burger and chips, once again, awesome. A few of my friends tried the fish and chips, you can add extra pieces of fish for around $3 each if you are extra hungry. The beef schnitzel was also popular amongst my friends. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, you could tell and everyones plates were empty, not a crumb.
A great pub with a real country feel.
My girlfriend had a shop a docket, purchase one main meal get the second half price. We both decided to try the schnitzel with chips and gravy, was very tasty and a decent serving. A fairly quiet cafe with very friendly staff and we did notice quite a few cakes on offer which my girlfriend could not resist.
A nice quiet spacious cafe with tasty food and friendly service.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food, go here if you are hungry as their burgers are a decent size and you wont have room for much else, well maybe a few chips.
This is one of my girlfriends favourite cafes as it is cosy, yum food and a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast here is also delicious and coffee great, never any complaints.
Have returned a couple of times since my last review, they are still offering fantastic yiros, they use real quality meat, not chewy or fatty. Love the garlic sauce they use, staff are always friendly and prompt with our order.
A great place to try Yiros for the first time.
I really like this cafe, the staff are friendly and they offer an extensive menu, especially when it comes to burgers. I recently tried their New Yorker beef burger and my girlfriend the Black Wattle chicken burger, they were very fresh and delicious. We ordered the combo meal for an extra couple of dollars and received chips and a drink for around $16. Well worth it, the burgers certainly fulfilled our needs.
Will be returning for breakfast, as the menu looked great.
Approximate cost: $16
I really like this smallish cafe, the staff were super friendly and the coffee was brilliant.
My girlfriend and I both ordered the BLT, was very tasty and the amount of bacon was very generous. I would have preferred my bacon more on the crispy side, but it did taste great. My girlfriend finished off with a brownie and mentioned it was delicious. Their menu is not huge but they do offer many savoury and sweet treats.
A very nice cafe with friendly staff, delicious food and a cosy atmosphere.
My friends and I like to have a light meal and coffee usually before going to the movies. Service is usually fairly fast and service is with a smile. When it is really busy, it is extremely noisy and you cannot have a conversation without shouting, therefore we try to avoid it during those times. Otherwise, great food, coffee and service.
This place doesn't just offer Schnitizels, just about anything is on the menu, such as pizza, steak, salads, burgers, wraps and hotdogs. There are so many different ways you can have a schnitzel here, it was quite difficult to make a decision. I had the Schnit Hot- it was topped with jalapenos, chillies and hot sauce and yes it was Very Hot, so be warned. It also came with chips and salad for about $23. My girlfriend had the Federer which is schnitzel topped with swiss cheese, avocado, tomatoes, spinach and mayo with a side serve of chips and salad. Everything was well presented and the servings were huge.
They are open breakfast, lunch and dinner. Heaps to choose from, will be returning for our next big outing with friends. Definitely recommend you try, especially if you love schnitzel.
After a night out with friends with stopped here for brunch on our way home. The offer some fabulous coffee and bacon and eggs. Nice cafe in the hills, fortunately not to far from my place. Service was friendly, a definite drop in for a meal or just coffee,
