Located near Myers, this cafe is pretty quiet which is nice,it's never too packed and even staff are busy they're very attentive and quick.i take my mum here for coffees when were in canelands, there always good, the slices and cakes are too.food always looks nice, cafe is clean and staff are friendly.you can also buy coffee to take home.a great coffee every time for a good price!
Really really disappointed in this place,I have gone 3 times in the past year to be fair, and each time I've gone, was so disappointed and left hungry!the place smells,it's an old church which is lovely, but nice interior doesn't make up for it..tables are dirty, staff very indifferent, but food is worst.pics of meals look ok,even though they're out of date,80"s looking menus, but when food arrives its just terrible.pancakes were chewy, salad had no dressing and was bit frozen, steak was an old chewy piece of tasteless meat.this place used to be great when I went 8years ago,but seriously is struggling now.please fix it and bring it back to its past glory!
Approximate cost: $10-15
Excellent coffee, you can drink there, takeaway and they also have take home pouches of coffee beans you can buy.they have a huge selection of coffees, from free trade, dark, decaf, roasted etc.also have lots of cakes and slices, and cold drinks.i recommend the tim tam crush if you have a sweet tooth,it's literally addictive!you can also get a loyalty card so every 9drinks you buy you get 10th free.cafe is clean, staff lovely and efficient, area is pretty quiet even bough it's open air in a shopping centre!
Located in canelands, this is the best place to get desserts, they have a huge variety, that is all fresh and made daily.the cakes vary from lemon meringue to chocolate tart, and pecan pie,and a dozen other delicacies.the coffees are good, never been bad, they make a perfect latte.theres also a lot of other drinks to choose from, all nice.price is good, all the cakes etc are worth it.lastly its in a quiet part of the centre so it's nice to relax.
I've been going here on and off for years, the place has always great.the food is always really good, pizzas are well reviewed because there so good!the view is fantastic, overlooking the esplanade, feeling the whole vibe cairns has, watching people walk by,it's just perfect.the staff are always lovely young backpackers who bring a really nice feel to the place.if you're in cairns, you have to go here!
This is an "open"cafe in canelands,it's in the old food court area,so there's heaps of seating, also it's right next to the kids play area,so extremely convenient.its also one of the quieter cafes being in the old food court area, the new area is much noisier.the food is standard cafe, sandwiches, focaccia, quiche, cakes, coffees, milk shakes etc.all good, not great but not bad either.because its small the staff are very friendly, and very efficient.good to go to if you want a good coffee and lunch n a quieter section where the kids can play.
Canelands has a few little shops like this, this one is great.u walk in its nice and cool with dimmed lighting.its run and worked by the most lovely professional Asian people, who are so good at everything they do.their services include massage and reflexology, because they specialise in massage they have a lot of variety such as stone, oil etc.they also do an ion cleanse which is where you soak your feet and it draws all the toxins out;I've had this done here and it is so helpful.i also had a 120min massage, which at only $135 was really good value for such a good massage.theres also health rebate available.i go to this place and one other in canelands(depending on availability)and both are just amazing, you would never know you're in a shopping centre!
Approximate cost: $From $15 for 20min
A burger bar that specialises in burgers,so the burgers are above average, with lots of different flavours, and nice extras like sweet potato chips.prices are exxy,$20 a burger for example, but it is a "gourmet" burger, you're eating in a nice cafe on Sydney st,watching the world go by.they also have the cheapest breakkie in town, for $5.95,which you can't beat,as its cheap and a good feed!definately better then a standard burger, always good place to meet your friends and kick back with a good satisfying meal.
We went here asa it opened, and was not let down.entree were lovley, not so much the dim sum but the pork buns made up for that.the yum cha was delicate and tasty, completely addictive!we had a special order of the roast duck(for husband)but I ate quite a bit of it as it was very moreish.the restaurant itself is spacious, airconditioned so lovely and cool, and there's outside seating too.the staff have always been good to us(my husbands Asian too though so there very good to us)and they're always very welcoming.great to have a new Chinese place in mackay!
If you want the best coffee in mackay, head over to this cafe.they are as they put it,in high end espresso bar and you really can taste this in all their drinks, coffe tea and hot chocolate.particluarly the coffee though,as they use single origin coffees, and also seasonally rotate different beans and roasts.they use the best equipment available, also to ensure the best possible brew.the cafe itself is nice, very relaxing feel to it,the prices are a little more then usual, but it also a little more then just a cafe..the only let down(which they're working on)is the shops only open until 2pm weekdays,12pm sat and shut sun.so hopefully they"ll open more so people can taste their amazing coffee!!definately recommended as the best coffee in town.
