Same day meandering as rivers and country living shopping lol i think the reject shops are great value. I bought xmas decorations ,wrapping paper, nic nacs and the store is huge so we took ages wandering around before closing time. Got some bargains. Store is nice and bright and right next door to rivers. In one and out the other lol. If your wanting anything from shampoos to bigger kitchen items or decorative pieces this is the store to visit
Approximate cost: $5
Wonderful friendly guy at the checkout, had a bit of a natter about lots of things. I found the HUGE towels and some belts, i thought id spent $50 but got to the checkout and i had only spent $30 with more discounts on the items! Bargain . The red white and blue rivers towel can wrap 3 people in it ,more like a wall flag. I love it and 3 belts orange, blue and a thinner blue one, store is same set up as all the others, aisles are nice and wide, sections are easily found. Will wander back in there when next shopping up that way
Approximate cost: $20
My good friend took me shopping here to find a xmas present for a friend and I found the right present !I wont put a cost on it as he may read this lol. But found the perfect "man cave rules "canvas. Great gifts of the rustic type or plenty of girly glass stuff. Shops lighting is darker than most and suits the atmosphere of the decor. Lovely friendly ladies to help you and they were even gift wrapping male customers pressys for xmas.will return to browse when another manly present is warranted
Love this place for unusual gifts. Have bought quite a few nice named mugs, pens and different gifts. Trendy store,up market . Ne careful walking around the slim aisles with a bag on your shoulder lol not a lot of room for that. Bought lovely purse key rings for $10,mugs for $12: gym boot printed sox ,they actually looked like the shoe. Very novel for $10 for any age.love browsing i here for presents and usually find a lot
Great gift shop for souvenirs, unusual and the everyday touristy stickers, magnets etc. clothes for the beach, hats, all sorts of unusual gifts. I bought 3 lovely boomerang magnets and partner bought a bottle of the rainbow beach coloured sand in a scotch bottle with the sand making pics of birds and mountains in it for $40. Place had quite a few people there being tourist season. Good to browse and find out where to get permits for camping and boating and accommodation etc. can browse i there for ages and find quite charming little nic nacs. I did like the sand incense holder .all in all friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely little shop. Not very big ,near the beach. Service was ok. Ice cream was delish! But so hot on friday that we got outside to sit down to eat it and it was melting already. I got rum n raisin and mars, partner got pistachio, cookies n cream and mars in cups luckily,we drank the dregs lol ice cream is so creamy, rum n rains could do with a stronger taste and more fruit but it was yummy and refreshing on a very hot day. Service was usual ,polite girls nothing overly friendly. Will stop by again. They also have waffles and thick shakes and smoothies
Approximate cost: $5.50
Stopped here on our way up to rainbow beach friday. Great variety of beefys pies and got foods ,ready to go. Clean loos, big parking areas. The lady that served me was lovely and chatty, just like country folk. The girl that first came out serving someone else even said hello to me.place is small but the service is great. I bought 2 huge pies, steak and pepper and potato one. Price was good for the sizes. Loos are clean and out the back. Seats to sit down under the shade out back. Will remember to stop there on our way up the coast again. Great stop
Well lets just say we wont be frequenting this establishment. We came back from a day trip and our regular fish n chips was closed so after driving by this place a few times, its only new,and we fancied fish n chips so decided to reluctantly give it a go. The prices are quite high. Looking at the menu we decided on family pack, but asked what the fish in it was. Was told it was hoki, every shop puts cod but they put a cheap import that still tastes and feels uncooked when it is cooked. So changed our minds for cod pieces, prawns ,serve calamari, potato scallops of course lol,sea scallops .the family pack was very small for $30 but what we got was closer to $40! The cod was large and quite nice crumbed, the prawns were big and thick but no taste, the calamari was so chewy,i didn't eat more than 2. The crumb fell off the shrivelled sea scallops ,no bigger than 10c size. The potato scallops were atrocious and small. The paper it was wrapped in was soaked with oil. Very unappetising and wont be making a repeat visit. Small shop,no room for people to wait inside. Couple of tables and chairs out on the street to sit and eat.they have lunch packs and tradie packs but nothing to entice a return visit with costs and the cooking . Scallops were burnt and the batter bubbles up from the potato. They have burgers that seem cheap but paying $2 for an extra piece of bacon was a bit much in my opinion. Staff weren't friendly ,kids just took orders and thats all. Older woman doing the cooking and 4 helpers seemed a bit over the top as there isn't room for them. Will stick to our tried and true regular.
Approximate cost: $10
Eaten here often, i love the fish n chips or the prawn dish, friend had the chicken skewers and rice, menu changes often. Gets packed thurs fri sat nights. Lots of out door seats in the mall. They have a bar and desserts, food is always lovely, prices compare to good restaurants. Great for a meal before a night out or after shopping. Opened till late
Approximate cost: $27
Great little shop thats had an overhaul of late. Used to be just unusual nick nacs but now more clothing and accessories and not so much the nic nacs. They do have note papers and different ear phones and unusual key rings and some jewellery .can find some lovely summery dresses here and staff are somewhat helpful ,mostly i like the nic nacs still. Papers, books purses . Love shopping here to find the unusual gift or something for myself like the earrings. Store has opened up a lot more as it used to be cramped. Costs start from a few dollars for the small notelets and pens etc
