Well place was packed, had to find a seat and table outside eventually to wait for our food. No real menu board thats easy to see. A few specials on the blackboard knee height at the counter and a written menu to read on a takeaway menu we looked at which is a bit of a pain with a packed house. I had a poece of fish and 2 potato scallops, partner had a cajun burger, niece had a Chicken schniztel burger. My fish was very thin, nice golden crumb tho and cooked lovely but way too thin tomactually get any sort of taste, came on a small oval plate with cutlery and a tiny tartare sauce and a few bits of dry rocket and shredded carrot, one tomato wedge and one slice of cucumber. Tasted nice and fresh but Id liek a bit of dressing as the salad was far too dry and tastless but bitter lettuce.cajun burger looked big ,parter said it was good tho not hot, nieces burger was nice tho she said no mayo and they put it on anyway, the schnitzel was over cooked thin and dried out so she picked off the good bits and ate it. The place is right near the beach ,hard to find parking and usually packed on weekends. Next door is a shop selling kites ,puzzles, games etc. so its easy to see the takeaway. We didnt wait long which was good ,about ten minutes. The potato scallops were nice, golden and thick and a nice batter that wasnt too thick. We got 2 drinks and a choc milk. All up was $41.10
Burgers were 12:50 and $11 which i dont think was worth it.nor $7 for a thin small piece of fish. Potato scallops were $1:80. Prices were a bit over the top for what we got in my opinion. Also on the docket they charged an extra 20c for eptpos! They never informed us of this and we never saw a sign stating it. So beware and ask for a docket and check it
Lovely aussie coulle running the place. Tables and chairs outside. Very friendly, clean .lots of deals to be had with burgers and fish and chips. We had the pack for 3 which was 3 cod, chips and a bottle of 1.25 lt drink . We added 4 potato scallops and that was $31. The food was lovely, not greasy, nice thick piece of fish, chips were skinny chips would have preferred normal thick cut but they were nice. Tasted the food and not the oil which is always good. Small shop front but bigger inside ,they sell bit and pieces of everything, ice creams drinks hot food etc. the scallops were great thick potato ,crunchy thin golden batter. Fish was crumbed and tasty. Will def return
Newly Opened last year so we went to have a look last week. Went to see hollywood chainsaw hookers lol. The seats are sort of tweedy and the arm rests were falling off a few seats, I had to push mine back on. Has live bands, all night old movies sometimes, clean neat house .bar in Front foyer with a tiny stage for band. We had a good night movies start at $11 ,bit dark in the foyer, small booths to sit at whilst waiting or just having a quick drink. Easy to find right near the fortitude valley station
Have frequened hee since it opened, outside the movie nd of chermside westfield. Lot of parking. Lots of outside tables and chairs to eat at. We usually go around 2 pm when the lunch crowd had all but gone. I love the lamb burger but have tried the qlder which is huge.all the burgers we have tried have been tasty and moorish. Great drink selection and love the fact they give you bottle tops to stick in the jar you wish them to,donate to. Prices start again at $11.nice relaxed atmosphere
This little aussie owned foodstore isn't the takeaway you are used to. Voted as having the best burger on the sunshine coast we had to see for ourselves. It's just staring to have takeaway foods ,alongside the groceries they have. Well the burgers are quite big,we ordered the tradie one that got voted the best. Everything fresh on it, home made patty though I would have liked a bit more taste in the meat patty ,I found it a bit bland. The burger is great tho, bit big to fit in our mouth lol
Chris is rather talkative and lovely to have a convo with whilst waiting. They have fish and chips and spring rolls etc. expanding as time goes by so go check it out. Prices start at $8 .the hot food is right near the front door
My partner wanted to go here to try the death burger, the hottest burger ever challenge. Easy to find near the roundabout in main shopping drag. Small shop but can sit outside in plenty of seating or a few booths inside with the black and red retro decor with a duke box. Brilliant. Burgers look pricey for $10 but when you get it it's the size of a bread and butter plate omg! I had the cheese n bacon and had to cut it into 4 to even contemplate getting it near my gob. It was delish! Fresh butter lettuce, tomato with taste ,a lovely tomato relish and mustard ,melted cheese on a huge bun that is soft but crunchy crust and keeps all the food in.partner sat opp me doing the challenge and being checked on every so often, well 5 min after trying to also figure how to get it in his mouth, whilst i was videoing it lol the tears started streaming, panting slowly lol leaning back in his chair . Think it was a tad hot lol half hour later thru more tears, rests and much lip blowing he finally finished the challenge and got his name in their challenge book and photo taken. Very proud of him lol he doesn't want to do it again tho lol take the challenge if you dare. No drinking during the time and you will live in the loo for a day or 2 lol . if you dont chuck up first from the heat of the burger. Lovely home made patties with a nice meaty taste and not fatty. I loved mine and some different drinks to the norm. Have a go ,lots of normal burgers for the feint hearted like me lol i loved it
Approximate cost: $10
A must stop when going to and from gold coast to,sunshine coast. Or anywhere inbetween. Lots of parking and can get packed with long queues but usually the wait isnt too bad maybe 15 min. Desserts, family pies amd indivdual ones. Extra peas or potato is 70c and extra gravy. The pies are are a meal in themselves.i usually get steak cheese n bacon with potato. U really do need a knife and fork. Sauce ,serviettes are on the table at end of line once you have purchased. They even have a drive thru! Seats around the verandah outside or sit inside or picnic tables closer to the road. Pies are $6 and upwards but you're always full after it so well worth the money. The big pie ontop of the shop seems to be missing and the road has changed with new roundabout and signs bit tricky to see where to go now.drinks and ice creams also available. Great pit stop
Took my mans birthday voucher here for dessert. Cost us nothing and we bought drinks so all up,$10.90. We had plain freskly made churros with dark choc dipping sauce omg, crunchy, hot, soft in the middle and the sauce is to die for.lots of room and tables and chairs insode and out. Menu is extensive with crepes, drinks, different churros. Decor is yellows, browns, greys oranges, big cushions on the wall seats are very comfy. Service was fast and friendly. Will go back again and again, this was our first time
A great experience you have to enjoy at many times during the day to get the best scenery. Cameras ready. Unfortunately the windows on the obs deck need a good clean. Our photos have all the marks and drips from the windows on them. Cost is $22 per adult and well worth it. The ticket can be sued as many times as you like over 2 weeks.we went 3 times on our 4 day stay at various hours. We did miss a brilliant photo op tho.whilst dining for lunch a fighter jet flew over the coast ,water below us. Such a great pic we missed but it was a momentus viewing i can tell you, seeing that jet flying below the obs deck was amazing. You can spend a fair bit of time here and not notice it slip away. The sunset on a clear day is breath taking, the beach and other buildings lit up,at night is wonderful. Take the kids take nanna ,not to be missed
Approximate cost: $22
Superb views, good music on the saturday night we were there this week. The lift moving so fast is amazing and whilst you're in the lift look up! Lights up at night with coloured lights .we had the beef slider trio, just enough for a snack without over filling ourselves. 3 different flavoured sliders and a cute frying basket of very yummy chips ,dry not oily and chunky with a gorgeous sauce to dip in.a liitle tub of nice coleslaw too accompany it. Partner had a weird beer he didnt like. Something called from the 70s. Went back twice and both times very impressed. Pay to go into q1 but your ticket lasts for 2 weeks as many times as you want
