Good amount of staff and the prescriptions don't take too long to fill. I really like their range of cosmetics, they are always well-priced even if they rarely go on special. They are willing to talk you through how to use the medicine and any side-effects you may experience if you ask, which is really good.
This is by far my favourite branch of Coles. Excellent deli, meat and bakery section with a huge range of products. The express check-outs are always available and easy to use, the staff almost always know what I'm asking for if I can't find it. My one gripe is the deli section, the people working there can be very rude and ignore me even if I have the ticket number ready. They tend to be slow to get my order and often get annoyed when I ask them if they can freshly slice cold meats for me - they have a sign saying they'll do it, so why make a fuss of it?
In my experience, they only provide good quality service if you are a regular customer of theirs. Otherwise, expect a long delay for your orders (in my case, two keys and one pair of shoes). I once had my handbag break and because I saw someone else get their handbag repaired with them, I asked them if they could do this and they told me no, this is not a service they provide. So it depends on whether you're a regular customer with them or not. Their attitude turned me off but the quality of the work is good.
Good prices for over-the-counter medicine, standard pricing for prescriptions. They usually have some good deals on cosmetics. Good service, prescriptions are very fast. They are willing to talk me through the side-effects of each medicine if I ask them.
Great casino, love going there, the workers there are really friendly. Has some great eateries too, from the "Prawn Buffet" which is all-you-can-eat to the wonderful Sean's Kitchen! A little hard to get to - there are buses in the city that take you directly there but they don't seem to come. Otherwise, fantastic.
An expensive restaurant, this is one of the best Sydney has to offer. I love the degustation menu, but be wary if you're not a fan of seafood! Really great atmosphere, wonderful service, the quality of food provided is amazing.
Don't go there early in the morning as they freeze some of their cakes and they don't thaw out until mid-morning. Make some really great cakes, you can buy them in tiny one-use packs or a whole cakes. Wonderful biscotti!
Fantastic doughnuts, great wi-fi and sitting area, and wonderful atmosphere. Love the window that shows the back area where all the doughnuts get made - have spent a while looking at them roll off the line and get iced! Also has a drive-thru which is really good when I'm in a rush.
The queues are very long so it's best to get in before the morning rush or in the afternoon. The service is always very difficult as the sandwichmakers have very poor English, so I always have to state my order very clearly. Once I asked for onions, which they forgot on my salad roll, and they gave me a muffin instead! It's very hard to deal with the service, and there are a few other bakeries that make vietnamese rolls within walking distance that are much cheaper, but Hong Ha is always fresh and good quality. their sandwiches are worth the bad service and queues.
Approximate cost: $4-5
I use to visit Sultan's all the time a few years ago before their recent renovations. Back then they had a quality that far exceeded their price. after their most recent renovation I went back, and I have to say it's all changed. On the five times I've visited since the reno, their food always comes out stale. The service and prices haven't changed much but I won't be going back because of the food quality.
Approximate cost: $1-5
