Last year, our Buffalo grass in our backyard died suddenly and completely, with just a few remnants at the area edge. We want to have the lawn replaced, but the soil is very sandy, has limestone underneath, and old grass roots feel that it needs to be dethatched or the soil turned over. (We may be wrong about this.) We want a Buffalo lawn as the replacement lawn.
