From the specials board, our group ordered 3 snitzels and one beef with diane sauce. The snitzels came with a desert in the price for $13. Our fault for not asking, but the desert had to be tiramasu. As I dont like tiramasu, I had to pay extra to order another desert. The waiter was very rude in telling me this. When the beef with diane sauce was ordered, a request was made for chips instead of mashed potato - "no" said the waiter, "it only comes with mash". So, we paid extra for chips and the mash sat on the plate uneaten. For the price (it was very cheap) it didn't matter that we paid extra, but the waiter was very abrupt in the way he told us, and really, whats the big deal in swapping the mash for chips or the tiramasu for a scoop a ice cream, it was 5:45 and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I thought in the service industry, the first rule would be to be polite to your customers or they wont come back. I will not return to the Figtree Brasserie, not because they are inflexible with their menu items but because the waiter was a rude person, that doesn't seem to enjoy his job.
