I had no idea that so much leather could be put in one locality - this shop has the most broad, and well crafted leather products that I have seen. Some great wallets are available - impressed my wife, that's for sure. Great range of leather hats available also. Pretty good service and not bad prices. If you're after some quality leather, this is a great place to go.

While not slicker than the average North Adelaide eatery, Cafe Palazzo is a very honest and reliable place to go if you're after some great service, some great food and all at a pretty reasonable price. This place is great for a work function - the staff are more than happy to move tables around and make it work, no matter what the size of the group is (we had 20+ people). Great pizzas and pasta - really memorable and would be very family friendly!

After a long week of work, out we headed to this place that allowed you to cook your steak on a hot stone... novel, but tempting to just eat a blue steak! The service was quite good at this restaurant, which was very busy that night and we were in a large group of 20+ people. All of the food came out at similar times and the drinks were great - our guests were most impressed. Really good venue for a middle-sized function - highly recommended.

I've played indoor sports for a long time, and Salisbury Super Sports is a pretty good establishment. The staff are pretty accommodating and understanding - and of course there are always going to be those who take the social sport a little more seriously then they should (sometimes this is me), but the overall feel of the place is really relaxed and a good time is had by all. The place is busy and the range of sports is good - soccer, netball, cricket, handball... highly recommend this place if you're looking to get fit and with some great people.

Despite some other reviews on other sites, we had a great little experience with the 39 Steps Cafe in at the O'Connor Shops. We were there very early on a Saturday morning - coffee was very high quality and the light breakfast was great for the kids. The staff member was very friendly, but did mention that she'd love to join us at the zoo for the day.... interesting comment, but still, she was nice enough. Again, the coffee was great, so we'll be back.

So if ever you need an out-of-hours chemist and you are in the CBD / inner north west Canberra, then this is the place to go. The staff were incredibly friendly and understanding. The prices didn't seem too over the top, but then again, I would have paid whatever! Will be back the next time little children fall ill at inconvenient times!

The Duxton is a very attractive, metro-bar that has a solid client base - we headed there after work as a bit of a farewell dinner and the place was quite impressive initially. Woodfired pizzas are everywhere these days, and for good reason, as they are simple, and when well done, are hard to beat. Prawn and chorizo pizza - $22 - good size and very tasty. Had some of someone's leftover pork taco (that sounded bad), but this was pretty impressive also. I have little doubt that this place is family friendly - lots of people were there that night with young children and the staff were quite accommodating. Pretty pleasant place to chill out for a couple of hours... that is for sure.

Some family friends of ours invited us to the Polish White Eagle Club and upon stepping foot inside, I felt myself transported back a couple of decades (all in a very good way). The people at this Club are amazing - very warm and accepting. The food is quite something to behold and are cooked with care, are massive in serving size and pretty out there compared to what we're used to... but it was a great experience - I had the smoked pork knuckle and it was flaming (yes, a blue flame from some awesome Polish spirit) upon arrival. This was pretty confronting for my son, but he loved eating it afterwards. My better half had the potato and cheese dumplings and these were sensational. The Polish beers (including the raspberry variant) were exceptional and we topped it all off with one of their famous Polish jam doughnuts and some halva - quite possibly the most brilliant outing we've had in Canberra. Highly recommend this unassuming location - you'll discover something new!

So I am reviewing Sub-Urban, the bar part of Belluci's at the southern end of the Dickson eat precinct... We headed here after lunching it at O'Neill's up the street and talk about difference in class. Sure, Sub-Urban is a little pretentious, but the place was humming on a Friday afternoon. Beers available were very good - amongst us I think that each one was sampled and a great arvo was had by all. We didn't get any of the food, but yeah, it is a great place. Would consider taking the family to Belluci's - it looked nice from the other side of the Bar....

Having been to Dickson many a time, I've never been drawn into O'Neill's Irish Pub... but for a recent work function, we gave it a go. The t-bone steak was massive, average price ($25 for a 500g chunk of meat), but quite well cooked. Service lacked a little bit of personality both in the kitchen and at the bar, but hey, it was more than acceptable and even included an Irish accent! Don't know if I'd be rushing out to take the family here, but if it is with the fellas, no problems! Great choice of beers on tap also.
