WOW what a shop! I've been in to a few gift stores (and reviewed a few too) but this is one of the best. A real eclectic collection of jewellry, statues, art, and knick-knacks. A bit on the expensive side, but I saw things in here that I havent seen for sale anywhere else. Its very unique. The lady behind the counter was very friendly as well. A pity I didnt find this store before Christmas, but I know where I'll be headed come December this year!
Pretty good fish and chippery but far from the best in Willy. Definitely on the pricey side though, which isn't entirely justified? Fish was good but the range offered isn't extensive. Best thing about it is the location - right across from Commonwealth reserve.
Reasonable place to eat with a very decent pizza menu (if you aren't coming here for the pizza you may as well eat somewhere else!). The pizzas are tasty enough - not the best you'll ever have but far from the worst. Excellent location and good prices. Service can sometimes be on the slow side but they're friendly enough.
I had a great experience here a couple of weeks ago. Despite it being very busy they had plenty of staff on and got through the haircuts efficiently, but not in a rushed way. The staff were excellent and gave me a good hair cut, which because I was there before 1030 only cost me $20, bargain! Will definitely make this a regular thing.
Standard "ye olde English" pub with little to commend it above any other pub that is in the same genre. No complaints about the food - its good, but isnt excellent - and there's a good range of beers on tap. Many levels which increases your odds of getting a space at the bar but also increases your odds of falling down the stairs after a few too many!
Ok, so I've found pure profile to be pretty good in terms of surveys offered and the rewards for doing so. I like how they give you a dollar and cent value instead of simply using a "points" scheme so that you always know exactly where you stand.
I've only made one claim to date, however I had a similar issue to pauls61. I got an email saying that it had been paid but when I checked, and then waited several days and checked again, nothing was there. When I questionned them I got a prompt response, which was good, telling me that I had provided them with the wrong bank details, which I found a bit strange as I only have one account and have had it for over 20 years and have provided the number to other survey sites with no issues. When I stated this, and gave my details again, my $25 was paid. So I'm glad they followed through, but now reading some of the other reviews I'm worried that this may not be a one-off incident but more like a deliberate policy.
Will continue with them for now and see what unfolds with future claims as, overall, I find this to be one of the better survey sites in terms of volume and reward.
Firstly the good: for a non-major chain supermarket Sims does stock a very extensive range of products and so would meet the needs of someone wanting to do a grocery shop there.
Now the bad: the prices are much more expensive than other supermarkets, the layout is confusing and the store seems messy and disorganised, and the staff look like they'd rather be anywhere else (and who could blame them?).
I support local businesses so have been perhaps a touch generous with my rating, however I would never do a full supermarket shop at Sims.
Good little cafe that offers great portion sizes at prices that are not over-the-top. I'm a big fan of the menus - printed inside the covers of Little Golden Books - gimmicky but clever. The courtyard area is a standout, as is the friendliness of the staff, who are always available when you need them to be. Definitely a great place to spend with family and friends for a meal or a coffee.
An inviting and relaxing place, though sparsely furnished, Sourdough Kitchen offers a good menu at semi-reasonable prices (breakfast of pancakes and a hot chocolate for two 12 year olds, muesli for me and a loaf of sourdough bread came to $54, so its not the cheapest option around...). Excellent breads, as you'd expect! Kid friendly as well with good pram access if that is a concern.
Siam Kitchen is a lovely little restaurant that serves above average Thai food at very decent prices. The staff are friendly and engaging and the menu, whilst mostly offering the usual Thai restaurant fair, still provides you with plenty of options. This restaurant will not disappoint Thai food lovers.
