PC Medic

I had an issue with an old Macbook that literally blew up - over heated and needless to say it was not working AT ALL. The team at PC Medic were able to retrieve all the data and store it onto the hard drive. It didn't take long at all and the service was fabulous. We were also able to sort out a few other issues with our new Macbook PLUS they gave us advice on our website that we were setting up for our new business. We will be using PC Medic again in the future.

This business is a scam only interested in taking your money. I sent my PC in repairs on Monday and was asked to pay $44 in order for them to start working on it which I did pay. On Tuesday they rang to ask for another $88 for so-called data recovery otherwise I will lose everything on the hard drive which I reluctantly agreed to pay yet again. They promised to call me on Wednesday to give me a progress update and detailed quote. Wednesday NO CALL NO TEXT NO EMAIL NO NOTHING. So Thursday I called them after being on hold for 5 minutes, I was told the computer cannot be repaired that I should get a new one. WHAT THE @#!& seriously.
So I walked into the shop to pick up the computer and also ask if I could at least retrieve the data that was recovered which I paid $88 for. This time they changed their story telling me they have not recovered data and $88 was just for FINDING OUT if any data can be recovered. If I wanted the data I would need to pay another $500 which is another 5-6 hours work. I demanded my money back and they said no. They insisted that they made it clear on the phone $88 was just for finding out if data can be recovered not the actual recovery. Come on! Do you really think if you had made that clear to anybody, one would agreed to pay $88 for a yes or no ? such an insult to anybody's intelligence.

So after wasting my time and taking $132 from me, my computer is still as broken as before if not worse.

Please stay away from this business. You probably noticed the above review author that gave a five star rating to this business is located in RINGWOOD ! SAME SUBURN the business is in. What a coincidence !

TERRIBLE! I took a working laptop in to have the speed/memory boosted a bit. The result: I no longer have that laptop. Not only did they render the laptop completely useless, their so-called customer service is APPALLING! They never returned calls. The person who was working on my laptop was always "out of the office" and I had to constantly keep calling them for updates on my laptop, despite being told "someone" would call me in "half an hour". They charged a fortune and left me with a laptop that was so unstable in ended up crashing completely and was completely useless.

Sooo slowww... Took over a month to get my laptop fixed - I was given no indication how long it would take, If I had been told they would take that long or that they were to busy to do it, I could have gone somewhere else. I had to keep calling to find out what was going on/when it would be ready...

The problem with the laptop was obvious and should have been easily and quickly fixed - I don't think they'd even touched it until we had called a few times to check when they would be finished.
