I rang Mr Washing machine, provided them the model and fault code and said my washer/dryer needed a new heating element. The serviceman turned up, looked at it, ran the washing machine, advised me I needed a new heating element....I said I know. He said he did not have the part and would have to ring the office. He then said he couldn't leave my home until he observed me transfer the $148 payment to their bank acct. This scared me, they could be scanning bank numbers....but I had no choice. Since then I rang them about the part quote....no one bothered to call back, no further service. This business is a scam, they are probably not even repair qualified people and are just ripping off people by taking service fees. I am going to report them to consumer affairs and I encourage others to do the same. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Absolutely agree with previous reviewers. At the initial call out (where the guy was there for 2 mins and told me I wouldn't be charged for the second visit) I stupidly paid $148 in good faith that a different tech would come and fix the machine later that day. Never heard from them, chased the following day and was told someone would come between 6-9 Monday. Needless to say the guy never showed. Haven't had a single response to any of the numerous phone calls or text messages I have sent. Obviously the intention is just to wear the customer down with terrible service. I contacted my bank who advised I had a good case for payment dispute since services promised (i.e repairs same or following day) where never rendered. Wish I read the reviews first. I feel like an idiot for paying in the first place.

WARNING WARNING WARNING
DO NOT USE. Consumer Affairs have been notified. They have no intention of repairing appliances. They charge an exorbitant call out fee but have no parts or tools with them, then you never see or hear from them again. The internet is littered with customer complaints outlining their fraudulent practices. DON'T CALL THEM.

Do not use!!
I have had a horrific experience with them..
A technician assessed the machine as needing $300 in parts and 2 x hours labour and wanted to leave there and then and charge me $148. I requested that they spend the hour that I'd paid for disassembling the machine to save time on the repair job.
I found the parts elsewhere for $200 and, before ordering them, called Mr. Washing Machine representative and she confirmed the parts needed and that it would take 2 x hours to complete. On the strength on this quote I decided to fix the machine and ordered the parts.
When they came, I tried to book a technician and was then told it would take 5+ hours. I then had a hellish time trying to contact them for months trying to negotiate to meet in the middle and could never get through and email correspondence was ignored. When I finally got onto them they were aggressive, wouldn't let me finish a sentence and said 'how are you going to make me fix it?!' and said it would take 10+ hours to fix. The worst customer service experience that I have ever encountered. I called Consumer Affairs but it would take from 3-6 months to get a hearing at VCAT. After already not having a functioning washing machine for many months this is not a useful path to pursue. I don't think that it's right that this company should be able to get away with routinely treating customers in this way and hope that the ACCC, Consumer Affairs, the police or someone be able to hold them to account. The best thing to do is to simply avoid them at all costs.

I should start by saying that I should have done more research and read other people reviews before contacting this company.

After booking on a Saturday the technician to come on Monday, I received a message mid morning saying they overbooked the day (??) and that first day available would have been on a wednesday so I had to stay another 2 days without washing machine... The technician should have come on a 9 - 10 AM window as instructed by the person I was dealing with. At 9:45, I contacted again asking confirmation about the appointment... which became from 9 to 12 window... luckily I was home all day...

Now, when I called enquiring about the service, I said that I had a pretty clear idea of what the problem was and I was expecting the technician to come equipped for the job... Now after they charge you $148 for a call out fee, I am kind of expecting that the technician will come having parts with him or at least the person booking the job should ask what is the make of the machine in question.. with a call out fee like that that is the minimum I am expecting.

So, after around 5 minutes the technician was able to confirm what I knew was the problem and obviously he didn't have a part. He had to enquire with HO about costs and availability...

Ok, the part turned out to be quoted at $168... and no idea of when it would be available as I didn't receive any call back in regards.

So I went online and found the original part for $40.00. The installation is less than 5 minutes and the only thing needed is a screwdriver...

So, I am still puzzled about the mark up... $120?? for a 5 minutes job, after I have been charged $148 for the technician to come here 5 minutes and tell me what I already told them??

Really, Do not even have a word to describe how angry I am.

I have respect for people that work honestly and I am happy to pay for the value of the job, but the fees these people are permitted to charge are just ridiculous, us as consumers we have no protection whatsoever.

I am disgusted.

I called at 9am and it was fixed by noon.
Great experience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I chose these people as it looked like they were local. I had a problem with my Bosch washing machine and dish washer. The engineer came to look at both and managed to fix neither after charging me $188. They said the washing machine needed a spare part and they'd call me in the next day or two with a quote. I got a text 2 weeks later with a quote (assume if I'd accept it, it would be another x amount of time before it would be delivered and a booking made to come install it!). By that time I'd had enough and went out to buy a new one (I have a family of 4 and these people seem not to understand that one can't live with out a washing machine for 2 weeks). I text ed and called the management several times to complain and for a refund but no response. I spoke to them today and there was no sympathy offered to my situation. They said calls get "lost" in the system that's probably why I didn't get a response till almost 2 weeks later. Horrid experience!

Our washer must be well over 12 years old and when it stopped filling we were concerned simply because there was also a second problem -- a pretty bad leak at the front of the machine. We didn't know whether to buy a new one or have another go at fixing it. We decided to call mr washing machine -- their tech attended and told us he would need to order the part being a valve. Two days later, their office called and booked for the tech to re-attend that day and fit the part, they also fixed the leak. We thought it as tremendous value because we only paid one call out fee for 2 visits and both problems were fixed fast. Excellent service. Will be telling all our friends.

Our 6 year old Bosch washing machine was on the blink. We called Mr Washing Machine Saturday morning and they had a technician out by 2pm who installed a reconditioned motor and serviced our machine. Fast, efficient and excellent service.

I was let down twice by one company when they first didn't show up and when they did show up one week later, they came with the wrong part. Frustrated and still with a leaking lg front load washer which needed a front door seal replaced, I gave Mr Washing Machine a call and they had their repairer visit and fit the new seal on our washer the same day. Within about six hours, I was washing again and no more leaks. Mr Washing Machine technician knew his stuff. These guys are fast and they get the job done. Thank you Mr Washing Machine.

Simply fantastic service and I highly recommend! Mr Washing Machine technician was there the same day I called just as they promised and he fixed my front load Samsung that very same day! The staff who attended was friendly, professional, and provided courteous service. I could not ask for anything more than that and I didn't have to pay any extra than a call out fee because my washer was fixed in less than an hour! It really doesn't get better than this. Will definitely use them again.

They arrived 2 hours late, stayed 10 min saying that they don't have the replacement part and never called again. That's what they do, they will take the easy $150 of your hands and will not solve your problemunless is something very easy. They will overcharge you for any replacement part, and will take forever to call you backso if you have spare $150 give to charity not to Mr Washing Machine, highly unprofessional.

AGREE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. MEAN DO NOT. Technician came out after a hour an hour exactly passed they then claimed they need to take the machine away and stating it will be 5hours of labor plus parts and that it was the bearings. I asked to take a photo of the bearings and they couldn't get to it. Is it the bearings I ask if you couldn't get to it. I then rang another washing machine company and guess what it wasn't the bearings it was a simple thing of wrong washing detergent. I paid 121.00 for call out fee. If I took the word of MR WASHING MACHINE. I would have been out of pocket approx 700.00 plus dollars.

Sadly, I was so desperate to get my washing machine fixed when the error message started that I didn't take the time to research the repair company options properly. Initially I was impressed when Mr Washing Machine said they could attend that afternoon. The repair person diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes, charged me the hefty call out fee and said they would order the $100 spare part. Two days later they came back, installed the new lock and took more money. A couple of weeks later the error message came back. I phoned and asked for a warranty visit - no same day service this time and we'd have to wait 5 days. Not good enough with a machine full of water and wet clothes that they haven't fixed. They eventually agreed to a a two day wait (Saturday visit) and we changed our plans...the same repair person arrived and again spent less than 5 minutes and walked out to say it was fixed. Went to use it the next morning and it didn't work. No calls returned on a Sunday and when I got through first thing on Monday morning again I was told it couldn't be done that day. Earliest was the Tuesday evening. Same repair person again, tried the same trick after a few minutes and this time I stood with them and suggested we test the setting I usually wash and they were reluctant....shock horror within a few minutes the error occurred. They then admitted it was most likely the motherboard and not the lock which was just a symptom. They made it clear that they were 'just the repair person' and suggested I ring the company to seek a reimbursement and talk with them about buying a new machine from them. Three phone calls and 2 months later I have heard nothing from the management. As a foot note, our tumble dryer also decided to break so we contacted a different company and my faith in the industry was restored. A lovely person who spent lots of time diagnosing - and had the spare part in his truck.
