Astral Pool Hurlcon

Hurlcon Pools was an Australian Pool pump manufacturer with a reliable product and excellent customer service and it was for these 3 reasons our pool technician installed our new Hurlcon pool pump two years ago . The pump was a little dearer than other pumps but it came with a 3 year warranty and this gave us peace of mind . Sadly Hurlcon was sold to Astral pools and in the sale customer service and reliability were lost . We have our pool professionally serviced every 4 weeks in addition to regular inspections by ourselves . Our pool pump was never allowed to run dry and never ran longer than 8 hrs a day. When the Hurlcon/Astral pump failed to operate 19 mos after being installed our technician removed the pump for Astral pools to inspect . We have since been told that Astral pools will not honour the warranty . Of 8 Hurlcon/Astral pumps installed by our pool professional in the last 2 years 7 pumps have been faulty and Astral/Hurlcon has refused to honour the active warranty of any one . But the biggest disappointment was being told by a staff that the pump had failed due to a misadventure and/or negligence on my part . A conclusion arrived at after only minutes of inspecting the pump.
