I hired Whitelock Electrical for some residential electrical work. The job they did was fine — professional, clean, and everything works as expected. No issues with the quality at all. When I asked them to quote for some additional work (bathroom and kitchen reno), they gave me a quote of $6,200 that felt very high considering the amount of work that had to be done, so I got a second quote. Another qualified electrician completed the exact same scope of work — to the same high standard — for $2,900. That’s not just a slight difference it's a difference of $3,300 less than what I was quoted — it’s an excessive overcharge. I accepted the first job's pricing, but after seeing this, I realized I significantly overpaid. It’s frustrating to know I could have received the same results for a fraction of the cost. The pricing I experienced shows they are not concerned with offering a fair, honest service — they are more comfortable taking advantage of people who don’t know any better and have put their trust in their word. If you're thinking of hiring them, get multiple quotes. The work is good, but the pricing was wildly inflated.
