The service offered by what is appeared to be a husband and wife team operating this store during weekdays was very poor. The cleanliness of the store was average and the chips that I received with my order were barely cooked, remaining semi-frozen in the middle. I will never attend this store again.

There are 2 Red Roosters stores located at Southern Cross Railway Station in Melbourne, this review refers to the store that is located on the ground floor. I visited this store twice recently, the chips that came with my order had a disgusting aftertaste that resembled plastic - as if someone had placed the entire bag of frozen chips straight into the frier. I recommend staying away from the chips at this store.

The kitchen was rather dirty and I question whether some of the food is safe for consumption. I would not recommend this eatery to anyone.

In my opinion, that of a coffee connoisseur, this cafe has the best flavored blend of coffee in Melbourne. Check it out. There are also excellent cakes to choose from and other morning and lunch time meals.
