Randwick Oriental Supermarket is my favourite grocery shop in Kingsford. Many foodstuff I could not get elsewhere, I can get them there, for example: Indomie JUMBO, Kerupuk Panggang (Roasted Fish Crackers) & Singkong Balado (Spicy Cassava). Their Heaven & Earth Jasmine Green Tea 1.5 litres is always on promotion - a really refreshing drink. The staff are pleasant & not intrusive.

Hairplay is situated just outside the restrooms between Coles & Aldi. At $13 for a man's cut, it is one of the cheapest hair salons inside Westpoint Blacktown. The queue can be long & there are not many seats. Usually, I cut my hair there when the queue happens to be short. I have been pleased with my hair cut on both occasions. The hairdressers are very businesslike.

My first time to Azura Hair Studio. What a surprise! The salon is big, clean & comfortable with a touch of style just like her owner. The owner-hairdresser is friendly & open to chitchat. I am happy with my hair cut. But I wish the price can be cheaper. Oh, before I forget - She did a brief shoulder massage which was really wonderful. And she spoke fluent English!

If you wear your hair like me - short & conservative, then GINA'S Unisex Hair Design is the hair salon for you. It is cheap & fast. The aunt & niece team is pleasant but speaks little English. The salon is small but clean & comfortable. Most of the time, I doze off until my hair is cut. Nothing to complain.

Hair Under The Stars is my favourite hair salon in Kingsford, Sydney. It is cheap & fast. The salon is spacious & staff are pleasant. There is something about the way my hair is cut that makes me look good & smart after my first hair wash at home. I would say the hairdresser who cut my hair is pretty skilful.

I am a badminton freak & love all things Yonex. Guess what? EZBOX SPORTS has it all - racket, string, grip, bag, T-shirt, shorts & shoes at affordable prices. This guy is also very friendly & will chat you up as he replaces the string on your racket.

My first visit to Taste of Shanghai Eastwood. I recommend Spicy Beef Belly Noodle Soup $11.80 - Excellent. When eaten right away, Xiao Long Bao (8 pcs for $10.80) is equally good - Just be careful not to break the skin when lifting & to take small bites for the soup that seeps out is extremely hot but tasty. The Diced Chicken Fried Rice in XO Sauce is so so & has nothing to shout about.

At $22 per bed night per person, Backpack City & Surf is a great deal for the budget conscious - spacious, clean & comfortable, minutes to bus stops (free buses), grocery shops & eating places, friendly & helpful staff. Definitely my place to stay in Perth.
