A nice & quiet place for browsing golf clubs, accessories, etc. Salespeople are not intrusive. Even for items on promotion, you can still ask nicely & get a small discount.

You need to climb up a flight of stairs. That's great exercise, preparing you for a good meal. 98% of the orders are for takeaway. Don't know why people don't eat there. It is roomy with big tables. But you have to draw their attention when you are ready to order for eat in because they are really busy with takeways. The special fried rice, combination noodles & beef brisket are terrific. The prices are pretty reasonable too.
Approximate cost: $12.5
No queue but there were well-dressed people occupying 4 to 5 tables. I was early for dinner - 6pm. But the menu was screaming expensive. I almost wanted to bolt out of the restaurant. I ordered my favourite Prawn Dumplings (10pcs) - Not bad but too expensive.
Approximate cost: $18
The exterior was every inch a great company. But once inside, the mood changed. It looked cramp & messy, felt unclean & violated. I kept looking out for staff to take my order. My Pho Bo (Special Beef Rice Noodles Soup) was more than 30 minutes late. It looked pretty okay until I stirred up a hair. From then on, my imagination ran wild - "What else is there that I could not see?" The late lunch became a nightmare.

Xic Lo Vietnamese Noodle Bar is situated on a side road adjacent to Chatswood Chase. The place is roomy but a stale smell lingers. The staff are pleasant and service is quick. Unfortunately, I did not like my Pho Bo (Special Beef Rice Noodle Soup). I went a second time to give them the benefit of doubt. But sorry mate, they remain consistently below my expectations. Maybe that is their recipe.
Approximate cost: $13
Chatswood has many Vietnamese restaurants but De-Pho is the only one I would recommend. Even then, I would rate it as normal, average, so-so. They would find you seats fast but they would also chase you off if you take more time than necessary to consume your order. They are reputed for their Chicken Maryland & Rice Noodles Soup. But I always eat their Pho Bo (Beef Combination Noodles Soup). It is pricey, mind you but what is not in Chatswood?

My first visit to Power Golf Alexandria. Then love at first sight for the black Eagles & Birdies Magnetic Pro Golf Bag. It was on promotion & the price was an attractive $299. I told the Sales Manager (I think it was John - a huge but very pleasant man) & guess what? He rounded it off to $295 when I asked "Any discount?" What a surprise! I just have to shout it out here at WOMO.
Approximate cost: $295
I have been to Indo Rasa twice this month. You hardly need to queue but the restaurant is crowded. The table is big & I love that I have my own space. The food is nice without the WOW factor & the price is affordable. I like the sambal chilli that comes with Ayam Bakar (Grilled Chicken) plus Rice (separate order). A good place to gather as the staff don't chase you off & they serve cold water without asking.
Approximate cost: $9.00
I had a craving for Vietnamese food & just dropped into this quiet restaurant even though it was already 7pm. The ordering & service were quick. The one staff there doing everything was pleasant. The Pho Bo (Beef Rice Noodles Soup) did not look appetizing. Sure enough, it tasted like clear soup & was lukewarm. Definitely, not a place I would visit a second time.
Approximate cost: $12
I love to shop at Tong Li Supermarket. It is cheaper than Coles or Woolworths for the same products, for example: ABC Sambal Extra Pedas (Extra Hot Chilli Sauce) 335ml is $1.88 & Indomie 5pk is $2.50. The staff are friendly & not intrusive.
