a decent place for a good cuppa of coffee before or after shopping at the hyperdome. my rating is only for its coffee (which is what I always have at Gloria Jeans).
This restaurant attempts to mimic a typical izakaya in Japan but fails in many aspects. The food was so-so (the creamy croquette was the only thing that was nice from the various dishes we had for dinner. The rest of the offerings weren't as "hearty" as an izakaya should be) and service was a lil inattentive but still courteous nevertheless.
Authentic and mouth-watering yum cha! A most delightful find in Dickson!! This is one of the very few restaurants which I'm happy to stand in queue for :)
Many of the offerings at Hyperdome food court looked greasy and unhealthy. So Ali Baba stood out as a healthier alternative. I enjoyed my combination grilled plate very much :)
This is the place to get some seriously discounted books for your reading pleasure. Plenty of cookbooks, soft cover novels and some children books to choose from.
The last time i dined here was about 12 years ago and although Sammy's Kitchen has enlarged its space, the head server is still grouchy/unfriendly, food is still way too salty and portions are still small. i don't think i'd be back unless they change their cook.
The 4-stars rating on value is only for the pan-fried dumplings and braised minced pork meatball because the soup dumplings and soup noodles are a joke here.
the food here is better than the ones in Malaysia, Singapore or the States -- although coffee still sucks! :) if you become a member of Ikea, you'd have your drinks foc.
Reliable coffee and baked goods for an afternoon when you have time to while away before or after Ikea :)
I'm wondering if Sydney Madang is really one of the best KR restaurants that Sydney has to offer? Those rave reviews don't match the food we ordered, for sure. Disappointing on every front. Perhaps we've been too pampered by K-town in NYC... *sighs*
