Definitely one of the best places to chill at the ANU. A pity that their opening hours are short. This cafe offers a nice ambience. Food and coffee are actually good although breakfast is too pricey for me.

Super convenient location, very good prices (I had a pleasant shock comparing the prices there with the shops in Civic!), well-stocked for asian cooking and friendly cashier/shopkeeper.

These guys are great for asian offerings in Civic. The laksa is pretty good although this is really a fusion version of how laksa in Malaysia or Singapore really tastes like! The fried rice is good but portions tend to be a little too small for a large portion and is way too oily. Other than that, it's a nice place to chill and eat at a leisurely pace on weekends.

This is a Canberran institution. I used to hang out at this place about twice every week a decade ago! The decor is still the same, the wait staff are helpful and young and it's still a great place to hang out for a good pancake or waffle anytime :) Unfortunately, the ham steak is too hard the last time I visited :(

A friendly place to get a quick meal in. The roast meats are quite nice, but forget the fried rice.

The crepes are decent, with just about the right amount of fillings... but the crepe could be very slightly thicker in texture. Coffee is good too.

Nothing short of fantastic in terms of taste!! Ask for super spicy if you can take the heat. It only increases the pleasure... yum!!!

You get the texts and required readings here for ANU. This is not a newsagent, so don't expect to get entertainment magazines or snacks. Great $1 softcover books in the bargain bin right in front of the entrance.

Come here if you have more than an hour for lunch because service (even making a fresh cup of coffee) is super slow here. Other than that, food tastes quite nice and you are welcome to sit indoors for long periods when there isn't a crowd.

Come here if you want good value and prompt service. Expect an amateur/self-made korean cook and not a master chef.
