We had two showers leaking and when Chiswick came over, they found out that it was a disintegrating washer behind the cold water taps. They quickly replaced them, and once done, they also did a free check of all the water fixtures in the house. They even advised me that the dishwasher hose my husband used was not bendable and recommended another brand. They even too their shoes off before walking on the cream carpet. Great service!
The food choices are limited, but first class in presentation. As we were a medium group, we went for the 3 course set menu which is good value. My mother in law was not impressed by the soup of the day, but I was with my duck entree. The meat dishes, though could be a bit moreish. The triumph was dessert - the chocolate implosion was the best chocolate dessert I've ever seen or tasted.
We have bought three rugs from this shop, and it was a pleasure to look at the displays and know that they would be perfect for our home. The staff were good, not overbearing and helped us with our inquiries. Once we made a return/exchange because of the wrong size - and they were "no questions asked" mood - top service!
It was a school day when I went to have my sore throat checked, and no other patient was waiting. The center looks new or newly renovated. I as able to see a doctor quickly and the rooms are quite large, not standard cubicle you usually see in medical centers. One of my two choices of medical centers to go to.
The medical center is only worth going to if you are one of the people waiting for it to open up in the morning. The first time I went, that's what I did. The female doctor was efficient, but coming up to the counter to book my next appointment, it was chaos, as the waiting room suddenly was full. There were a few crying babies, and they would do well to have some sort of "quiet room" as it is a large centre. I went there a second time when it was later, and I had to wait for any doctor for 30 minutes.
Amazing how this bookstore has FREE shipping! I have bought 3 books from them and they come separately and packaged protectively- just fantastic service. It took only two weeks for the books to get here. Since they ship to different countries for free, too, I have bought my dad, my mom, my niece, nephew and sister books for thier birthdays. It sure beats paying for postage plus their books are even cheaper than at the shops!
I like this store because of its abundance of books published in the USA. They have many bargains and stock many of my favorite mystery-fiction authors. Picked up art supplies and wrapping paper on sale, too. Check out their stationery area, they have unique journals.
I'm so sad that this brand is shutting down!!!
Despite the displays being precariously near the edges of fully stocked aisles, this is my kind of heaven. You need a bit of time to check out this massive store, as there are nooks and crannies like the mezzanine and the tucked away Mr Tablecloth - both have bargains galore! It is hard to find staff, so just allot a bit of time to exploring everything!
Going to Krispy Kreme is a treat. as they are usually more expensive than the usual donut shops, but the donuts are so "melt-in-your-mouth" - it's worth it! This store is easy to get to (coming from the west) once you know how. Plus I get to walk over to Victoria's Basement while my hubby sips his 2nd coffee. One thing, they should have a pictorial menu board of the different flavours because you need to order/pay at the register, but the staff go with you to check out the donuts on display - which are 4 meters away!

We recently had a girl's night dinner here, and even though they had a black out, we were able to order the delicious curries and bread (but none off the grill menu). The food was tasty and surprisingly mild. What I didn't like was that we found a hair follicle on one of the bread pieces - they were removed and promptly replaced, and of course the reason was that is was dark because of the black out. Even so, i will definitely go back in the future.
