I have just gotten Elephant Dawn omg so good only about 50 pages in but you will be hooked on the firsts couple of pages
It's by Sharon Pincott she talks about her previous jobs the poaching in Africa and how she ends up doing what she does with the Elephants about 350 pages + pictures long I'm not a super fast reader and like to enjoy a book
I had read a book called wildlife wars by Richard Leakey that was given to me as a gift also a great read if you like to read about what goes on in other countries and who does things to stop what's going on and who just sits around continuing to complain and not even try to help the situation

A business that has been around for a while - it has a good, broad selection of books and at reasonably fair prices. The books I have received are always in good condition and arrive promptly.
I enjoy the convenience of also being able to buy online and have it delivered to my residence, especially when there are not many local book stores to me anymore and yet I am in Liverpool area.
I was trying to find a particular book for my father and ended up trying the Book Depository online. They had it at a good price and it arrived a week later. The free postage was a real bonus, compared with some other sites.
The Book Depository is probably the best site online to buy books at really cheap prices. With all of the books, there is free shipping and tracking on all orders. Another benefit with this website is it is partnered with Rewardscentral so that makes it even more worthwhile to buy from them. This store is great and has a huge amount of books. Just try it.
One of the cheapest book sites and free delivery. As it's an overseas operator, delivery can take a few weeks. They have great prices especially on old classic penguin books. Would definitely recommend this site.
Not always the cheapest but always on the lower end of the scale.
delivery is a little slow but nothing you wouldn't expect as is so much cheaper than buying at a book store.

im a big reader and dont like the big prices here in perth. I started ordering from the book depository and they have a large selection of books at very low prices. they come well packaged and books arrive in new condition. Books can be half the price. It doesnt take to long for your book to arrive.

I have bought many books through the book depository, both text books and novels. They are very cheap and good value. The only thing is that they do take a little while because they come a long way but it is a reasonable amount of time, nothing more than you would expect.

I LOVE The Book Depository! I was told about them from someone at my work, and I get all of my books through them now. The prices are the lowest I have found. Delivery is free, but it is from England, so don't expect same week delivery. They are pretty quick regardless. They are great at fixing problems too. I had a book go missing over Christmas, and they were very helpful.
Recently purchased a book through them after doing a Google search, also went through the Rewards Central link to earn points. Fast service! Book was with me within 2 days, excellent price, the range isn't as great as I wanted it to be, but will still return to buy more if the books I want are in stock. :)

The best quality of this bookshop for us is the wide variety of books (from children's to novels to technical textbooks) and the many price options for the same product (paper back to hard cover). When they don't have the product they put us on to other book businesses, believe it or not. In most cases we've had the books delivered within a week, at no extra cost! Even when we accidentally supplied the wrong address and the book was returned to them, they resent it without charging us. We can't believe our luck and can't speak highly enough about the Book Depository. We need more of these bookshops.
I agree it is amazing how great the deals are and funny how they recommend other bookstores when they are out of stock!

Fantastic place for purchasing books. The free postage to Australia makes this a great service and often I can find books that just aren't available otherwise or if they are require a long wait. Recently there was a mixup with an order and I was sent the wrong items. Thankfully the customer service was a great help in setting this straight and my correct order arrived soon after

One of my favourite places to buy books. Have a large range at very cheap prices. Shipping takes around 2 weeks to get to Aus from the UK. If they don't have the book in stock you are welcome to order it and wait for it to come back in stock or they suggest other places to purchase the item from.
They also offer free worldwide postage! Bonus!

I ordered ONLINE since I live in QLD. They offer a range of books in good prices with FREE delivery. I ordered book gifts over Christmas and it took a while for them to deliver one but it was ok since they relayed it to me professionally, were humble about it, and offered if I wanted to cancel my order. I understood it was the Holidays and it was busy so I said continue the order. They delivered the book right before Christmas day which was really good!

I get my music books from here sometimes. They have the cheapest prices and their free delivery is a bonus. The books always arrive within 2 weeks, sometimes 1 week.

Finally rec'd a sticker book for my child this week.. and the stickers dont stay stuck.. she waited and waited as they came from the UK.. Disappointed.. service was very slow and then the product doesn't work properly
If you love books, without paying the earth for a stack of them, this online UK bookseller is for you. I have bought from them a number of times and the order always arrives within a week. They have a great range including some now out of print. They ship to Australia for free (even though the books are between 20 - 30% off thr RRP).
It's much cheaper than getting them from an Australian store.

delivery can take a while but that is to be expected with books coming from the uk. You can pay for express post but i wouldnt bother.

As other users have noticed, there has been a slight decrease is service since Amazon took over, but for what is generally a far better price than you get get elsewhere, as well as free shipping, it's easy to live with.
Shipping is usually up to two weeks, but can take three.
Book Depository have 10% sales a few times a year, so use the wishlist to save your books and come back when you have a voucher - sign up for emails to make sure you get them.
NOTE: .com and .co.uk are often slightly different prices but can vary by a few $, so check both before purchasing to save a little extra.

Until now I would have agreed with the other users. I have been using this site for many years now and been extremely satisfied. Recently I have noticed a change in the level of service. I know that they were recently bought out by Amazon, which could explain the change. I ordered a book 3 weeks ago and have still not received my order. I noticed that the book was not dispatched until 5 days after my order was placed. Bookdepository claim to be able to deliver to Australia within 5-7 working days: it's been nearly a month! I have contacted the company who first asked me to wait until the 4th July to notify them. I contacted them on the 4th and they are now telling me to wait until the 15th. As I was in a bit of a hurry to obtain this book, it is somewhat disappointing. I am going to have to purchase it somewhere else and hope it doesn't turn up in the meantime.
That's good to know as I loved Book Depository & haven't used it for a while.
I purchase almost all of my books from The Book Depository and until my last order, a month or so ago, hadn't noticed any delay in shipping. In 9 out of 10 cases I receive the order in less than a fortnight, sometimes closer to a week.
I have ordered again from Bookdepository and they appear to be back on track. I will continue to order from them. They were very apologetic about my book not turning up and offered me a full refund.

If you're willing to wait on postage, this is the best service available. The name is well known for a reason, and it offers amazing prices, cheap/free postage, and a huge range. Im a frequent user, and I will continue to be.
I've done an enormous amount of business through Book Depository and have always been very happy with the quality of the product that I get. They offer a huge range of books and prices that are usually half what you would pay here. Once I bought a book that would have cost me $100 here, but on Book Depository it only cost me about $35. The thing was massive and would have probably cost me about $20-$30 in postage alone, but because shipping is free it cost me nothing extra! Yes it may take a couple of weeks but its worth the wait if you are paying so little for your purchase. I have recommended this online store to all my friends and family.
