A great new burger place to try out everyone! Jus Burgers is something that eateries should have adopted a long time ago - every aspiring entrepreneur please take note!!
Jus Burgers believe in fresh, seasonal, local produce and a no frozen food policy is used. Yes you didn't misread that - no freezers!

I tried the pumpkin burger (on brioche bread with a pumpkin pattie covered in a coarse panko breadcrumb with goats cheese and basil pesto) and cheeseburger (smokey, charred beef pattie with delicious relish and mayo plus non-soggy salad)! One of my pet hates is not being able to neatly hold my food while eating it - this burger is perfect. The bread didnt get soggy and allowed me to hold onto the burger until the very last bite. Clean hands intact! Hand cut chips (with chutney) were good but onion rings were ok as I found them to be slightly too oily.

Calling all VEGETARIANS - you can build your own filling and your pattie is cooked on a separate grill!! Win for Vegetarians!!

I wouldn't really call this a fast food outlet, if you are looking for a place that respects the produce our local farmers are working so hard to maintain - I recommend everyone try this cosy establishment.

It's time to challenge poor-quality food peddlers and challenge the status quo for positive change. Highly recommended to fresh food burger lovers! I will be back!! Yummm

Rosemary was very approachable and took time to explain her diagnosis. I like how she expressed how important it was to make small changes for the most long lasting results. She convinced me to substitute certain foods and basically use what I had instead of expensive items.
Recommended and will be back.

Popped into here for breakfast and the food was fabulous. Having stiff competition next door, the danishes and almond croissants were delicious. It is a cosy, little cafe and have come here before with an unforgettable paella but don't forget to try the dessert platter!
Recommended for a nice little break in the leafy suburb of Armadale.

This is one of my favourite places to date! Firstly, the staff and service were very friendly, unpretentious, attentive and knowledgeable. The tapas/entrees were the best. We ordered tastings from the entree and main menu and it's nice to know they are flexible with portion size options.

We had:
Prawn bonbon with lime wedge - crispy, tasty, prawn was fresh and went perfectly with a squeeze of lime.
Cheese fritter - crispy and inviting on the outside and oozing cheesiness from the inside! Had a blue cheese in the mix and was delicious!
Mud crab risotto with apple shavings - best risotto I have ever had... Flavours were clean, simple and tasty.
Cassoulet of beef ribs - wow there was so much flavours in the tomato base, I couldn't describe it, definitely a lot of depth in flavours.
Then we had 2 more tasting portions from the mains menu, veal shoulder with lentils (good, tasty but not as food as the previous) and a pork cutlet (found this one rather tough.. Least favourite dish).
We also ordered a bottle of beautiful red!

Wow, highly recommended to order from the entree menu!! Food is generally delicious and such a nice restaurant!
Will be back again very soon with more eager diners in tow!

Cheap and good value bento boxes. The food doesn't take long to come out to the tables and tastes good given the low prices. Not exactly authentic or well made but good value and great for a quick lunch. The green tea smoothies are delicious.

Came here this morning for a comforting breakfast. Had the ricotta hotcakes and corn fritters. I actually enjoyed the ricotta hotcakes a lot more than the doughy corn fritters. What had let the fritters down was the muffin like texture when I was expecting juicy, crunchy corn kernels.
Coffee was alright - not amazing. Service was good as it was not as busy as the weekends. It can get rather crowded on the weekends but it's a nice little neighbourhood to explore while you wait.
Recommended for a cute little cafe, I'm sure the other items are good but I had high expectations for the corn fritters.

Great little gem of a place for lovers of all things French. I popped in for a coffee and loved the warmth of walking into a rustic French cafe. A cute little courtyard out the back and must be a little local secret.
Prices are on the higher end but worth the money. I have tried their breakfast (baked eggs coquette) pies, pastries and pasta dishes. It can be rather noisy as the Toorak ladies of leisure chat amongst themselves.
It's always crowded in here and sometimes there is a line in the already tiny cafe.
Recommended for the food - the display window is very enticing and tastes as good as it looks... everything else I can put up with.

This is a student meals cafe that specialises in Indonesian food. The prices are low, service is ordinary and tastes ok to average.
Another student hangout location but I don't think I will be back anytime soon as there is too much to eat in Melbourne and unless it was exceptionally good.

This appears to be a very popular eatery but I have to start off by saying what the kitchen may assume as a delicacy is not my cup of tea. I believe this is Northern Chinese cuisine and the menu has a lean towards spicy dishes.
I ordered GungBao chicken - the flavour and taste was actually good BUT I was not impressed with the quality of the meat which felt like they were offcut pieces with bits with tendon and fat.

Also tried pork and crab dumplings - tasted ok but found the dumpling skin to be too thick. The filling was ordinary.

I also noticed on the menu they had glossy, caramel-like duck heads (approx 10 on a plate).. interesting but should I ever order this I would need to seek advice on how to eat this.

The steamed rice was dry and clumped into pieces. Not impressed and I won't be back unless I am feeling brave again with their adventurous menu. The service was similar to a diner / canteen style but given the affordable prices, you get what you pay for.

Clean food people and vegetarians should be happy here.

There is something special about going to the Abbotsford Convent on a clear Winter's day. It's crispy cool air with the echoes of footsteps and mumbled conversations thrown into the mix.

I came here on the weekend and it was beautiful as always. A rather soulful place, it's old yet beautiful. Kappaya was open and I decided to pay them another visit. It's a real wholesome establishment, organic and rustic. You can tell it has been run by people that care about where their food comes from and how specific combinations are good for the body... and soul perhaps. Now after seeing all the cute, live animals at the nearby Collingwood children's farm, I felt inclined to eat clean - thereby no meat.
I had the breakfast bento with brown roasted rice green tea. It was really comforting and I enjoyed eating the mixed brown rice balls with miso soup. Desserts are also available.. I think they had pudding that day.
Feeling spiritually high and stomach full, it almost felt like I needed to say a prayer.
Recommended for everyone although Kappaya is not always open. The convent has a gallery and it's always lovely to take a walk on the yarra after a nice lunch.
