This is a good alternative from Pacific BBQ. A homely feel with simple booths or small table dining. The female boss warmly asks if you would like soup (approx $5 each). The soup was nice and homely and a good starter. Some of the soups were medicinal which are good for you.
The food was good however they overused flavour enhancers in some dishes. They miscalculated the bill and overcharged on one dish and we nicely advised them before paying and the female boss gave us a dark look and did not apologise for the error.
The food was ok but given the poor attitude, it will be some time before I decide to return for any redeeming qualities.
Great place for Xiao Long Bao and Chili Dumplings (sauce is so well balanced). The staff are rushed and can come across rude. I wanted to ask for another bowl and as soon as I looked like I needed help with something, one of the staff members did a u-turn. ??? strange... when I finally got assistance, they gave me a dirty bowl. If their dumplings were not that good, I would not consider going back... I will be back one day!
This place is now closed. This is now Touché Hombre (Mexican cuisine).
Have been to J-Pub. It had a vast selection of Asian Beers and tapas style Asian food at a good price. So sad to see it has closed down.
A run down restaurant and definitely needs to be renovated. Japanese staff seem a little confused with service and food being delivered promptly. Don't think I would come back as the food is rather ordinary.
An ok restaurant. Food is good, not great nor bad. Well priced and good for a weekday lunch or cheap dinner. The dumplings are not too bad, service is satisfactory given the affordable menu pricing.
One of my favourite burger joints. Everytime I go there is never a line (must be lucky). The best burgers around $10. Tasty and they have just enough sauce, cheese and smokiness from the patty. Utterly in heaven. If they taste so good - they are definitely a winner! Burgers come out quick and staff are always friendly and approachable. Would be awesome if they served thickshakes!
A kitschy fitout in Revolver. An interesting place to have one of the best Thai food in Melbourne. The kitchen is rather small but the Thai chefs produce delicious food and hits the spot. I wasn't a fan of the ambience, given the dilapidated tables and chairs, extremely dim red lighting, music that was way too loud, weird location in a alternative bar. Will be back if I crave their food again.. yum!
Definitely a classy bar hidden away from the craziness outside. Delicious cocktails. Sometimes they can be a hit and miss depending on the cocktail maker but generally it is a good show as well as tasty. Good place to catchup with friends.
A great suburban cafe in Port Melbourne just off Bay Street. Appears to be a lovely, modern yet warm establishment featuring Russian delights and great coffee. The service is very friendly and food is tasty and homely. Will be back for another brunch session.
Highly recommended for a cosy night with great wine and tapas. Staff were very friendly and unpretentious. Hidden in a little laneway off Little Bourke St, it's perfect for a date or catchup with friends where you can have a great conversation and still hear each other. We had the Beef and Blue Cheese Croquettes, Paella Mixta, Duck and Mushroom Empanadas and Sangrias. Great for a cold night!
Just to add that I do recommend this restaurant, food is authentic and tasty... Just ensure you check the bill!
