One of the great wildlife parks of South Australia, where I have always taken visitors to, or even the family just to get close to Australian nature. It's a great place to have a picnic and then mingle with the kangaroos, emus, hold koalas and have that special photo(for a cost), has a licensed cafe and souvenir shop.
If you love honey then this is the place to go to. It has all types of fresh and jarred honey, and usually has a special honey of the week. This week it is Yapunya Honey from Northern Queensland on special for $6.50 a kg. It also stocks popular brands such as Sugar Gum, Mallee Murray etc. The store has soap as well and is just another treasure in the central market precinct.
This place prides itself on real food value, with no articficial colours, flavours or preservatives. The serves go by small(300g), large(1kg), family(2kg) and is on various pasta dishes. They also sell sauces by the jar or even better 3 for $13. They usually have a special going, and are great in assisting fundraisers. Real community shop with a big heart and community spirit, plus great products.
This little gem of a place is nestled in George Street, Thebarton and offers many great priced shoes which if you can get your size ladies, then you can get a real bargain. My other half is really happy with her purchases from here and highly recommend you give them a try.
Hiring suits here for weddings or any other formal occasion is great, and if you book online you save 20%. The suits are in pretty good condition and once worn they are then sold at really good prices. Many styles to choose for the specific occasion you have and the business has been around for many years.
This place taught me a great deviation from traditional style dancing, or latino style. It blends Salsa, Swing, Rock'n'Roll, Jazz/Funk and more. The head of this group, Adrian has been running these classes for many years and the style has just kept growing. The classes are held at a few sites. In the city it's at the Irish Club on Thursday nights, on Mondays it;s at Sturt. All this is available on their website. I have personally experienced couples which have specifically gone to learn for their wedding day, and they offer this service as well. Many workshops are also done, and it's loads of fun and you meet lots of great people.
I have been using this online service to buy sporting shoes for the family and in particular the clearance stock. They continually offer you a deal and sometimes you can get free shipping, or otherwise if you spend $200 shipping is free. They have a great return policy if the shoe doesn't fit etc. Have been really impressed with this site and shoes are in Australia and sent from Victoria. Totally recommend, as we have obtained many shoes at way below cost from sports stores for adults and even children.
I have been having my Watch batteries changed here for $10 for many years and beats those expensive battery changing places. A word of warning though, if the Watch is cheap or does not have a glass face, then they potentially can't do it. But if you have a decent watch then $10 replacement is great value!
This place was my favourite and attended a few functions including one we organised. This place seats up to 200, and is well set up. Great Food and drink packages and is excellent for special occasions or work conferences. Staff are brilliant! This place is totally awesome and highly recommend
This is place where if you need a hall for a smaller type function then this is your place. Close to the Alma Hotel, this place provides the basics and is well priced for hiring.
