Another wonderful day with overseas family was at this famous wildlife park which is run by the South Australia Government's National Parks area. Close ups of our wild animals, Koalas and Kangaroos and even some dingo pups. Well kept paths to follow in the treed areas which keep children active. Cafe and shop with souvenirs etc. This park is not the cheapest of outings so be aware of costs etc. Can access by public transport from the city.

I have visited the park often with interstate and overseas visitors and it is always a hit. When I last went (a while ago) you were able to purchase feed for most of the animals which is great fun. You are able to have a photo taken with a koala and pet it, however the best feature is that you can go through the enclosures at your own pace and see animals in more or less their natural environment and interact with them without crowds of people and zookeepers watching your every move. Overall it is a great experience for visitors no matter their age that never gets old.

I haven't been to cleland for many years and I was very impressed with this wildlife park. It was modern and most of the paths are bitumen. Great to see koalas up close and we saw many other animals as well. The picnic areas were lovely, we took our own lunch but there is a great little cafe there too. Our favourite parts were the koalas and wetland areas.
Was $50 for a family ticket.

Sounds great, we see koalas and kangaroos on our property all the time.

Wonderful facility to take overseas visitors. Well set up and managed, always friendly staff. There is a lovely gift shop and cafe (both of which can be accessed without necessarily having to tour the wildlife park itself). Large enough to be a whole day's outing but not so big to be unmanageable. Some paths might be a bit tricky for wheelchair users but staff would doubtlessly advise the best routes. Free maps are given with your tickets and info given about feeding times/keeper talks. Be aware this place doesn't open when temps are forecast to be very high/or there is bushfire risk.
For those living nearby, you can buy a yearly pass which gives you unlimited access so if you are likely to visit more than 3 times a year, it's well worth getting one of these.

I loved it here, I was able to have my photo taken with a Koala, and paid a small fee and my daughter was able to pet one, which has been a dream of hers for some time.
There are plenty of kangaroos and we were able to feed an emu, and my stepson fed a kangaroo.
They had a cafe for us to buy our lunch, and the prices were quite good, the food agreeable and a little shop/kiosk for souvenirs which the kids took full advantage of.
My niece has asked to have her birthday here she loved it so much.
The prices were really cheap, and it is great for kids to learn about some Australian Native Animals.
The staff told us that you can also catch a bus there from Adelaide which makes it more accessible for those who dont drive.

Enjoy taking my grandchildren here to this National Park wildlife centre in the Adelaide Hills. It is a perfect habitat for our native animals and it is possible for children to hold koala's, handfeed kangaroos and emus (under supervision) The staff are great in teaching in a friendly way and there are paths to walk and things to buy in the shop. (sometimes not what you wish to do) A great day out that children remember for a long time and so do adults. A family outing

was a good place to go to, you can spend almost a whole day here and show your children all the different animals and things that are around. its also really good as you get to hand feed some of the animals around there too.

I've been here 3 times in 2 years, went there last month and always want to visit again. It is a big wildlife park with lots animals to see. I love seeing, feeding and jumping with those kangaroos. They have red, grey and also white kangaroos but the white ones is behind the fence when I visited last time. not to mention that they also have wallabies on the rock. The bills in the water area are just stunning. You can also have a picture with koala close to you which is free, if you want to hug a koala you have to use their service and pay more though. The admission is $16 and if you are a student they have a concession price. They have cafe there which is also a great place to have lunch if you don't bring your own. Last but not least, if you don't have car you can just simply hop on Adelaide metro bus.

Great family day out at Cleland. Well worth making the koala feeding and holding times. Take along your own picnic lunch and make a day of it.

Great place to go if your on holidays in adelaide or just for fun for the day out with the family and kids especially on school holidays when the kids are bored. Theres lots to see & lots of walking to do to have a great look around. Also you can get a photo with the koalas for a small cost there so soft to hold.

A very Australian zoo. I went here recently and was surprised by how much walking there is between all the enclosures. Good open spaces for kids and the animals. You can get close to koalas but keep an eye on the time as the line up can get long. Reasonable food at the cafe and of course a souvenir shop which can also get very busy and long waits. Good place to go but be prepared to walk a bit.

One of the great wildlife parks of South Australia, where I have always taken visitors to, or even the family just to get close to Australian nature. It's a great place to have a picnic and then mingle with the kangaroos, emus, hold koalas and have that special photo(for a cost), has a licensed cafe and souvenir shop.
