Borders have an amazing range and some great deals. It's best to register for their mailing list on the website, for they send discount coupons at least once a week. The only reason for not shopping there would be to support a smaller trader, but if that's not a concern, then Borders is often the best bet. You can also look through their magazines without getting dirty looks from staff!

Metal Mayhem has a great range, and like Simon said, you can listen to CDs before buying them, in case you find you don't like them. There's also a load of shirts on sale. Prices are a bit higher than at JB HiFi, but the range of metal is a lot broader. They can also get stuff in for you.

I've been here for several work lunches, and the service is always efficient. The pool table is a bit pricey, but that seems to be standard these days. The beer's about average in price; there are no rude shocks at least. I'll no doubt be back there before too long.
