One of the best sushi trains I've been to. Sushi was fresh and tasty and prices were reasonable. They also have a few good options for vegetarians.
My aunty and I on two separate occasions found hair in our laksas and reported it to the staff who simply apologised but insisted that we pay for our laksas because we'd eaten all prawns (didn't see the hair as it was in noodles and soup underneath)!! That is simply unacceptable and not up to the food quality or customer service standards one expects of a business in Australia.
Yummy frozen yoghurt and choice of toppings makes it a fun option for groups and individuals alike but be warned there are likely to be long lines and limited seating.
Approximate cost: $5
Have been there three times and ordered the penang char kway teow and teh tarek. Their service has mostly been prompt and food has been good all three times.
Approximate cost: $11
It may have been that I was unlucky enough to get a junior stylist, but the young man who cut and coloured my hair did not seem to understand my wishes even though his English was fine. This became obvious when he cut several inches off my hair even though I said I just wanted a "trim". Also, he handled my hair quite roughly and it was painful when he was shampooing it. This was specific to him as the lady who started washing my hair was very good but he decided to take over from her after a while as I was "his" customer.
One of my favourite places to go for a casual Malaysian meal. Can't go wrong with their nasi lemak, nasi goreng, satay chicken, or char kuay teow!
Approximate cost: $10.50
Best colour and treatment I've had (but I've only had this done professionally 3 times now) - hair looked glossy after colouring and stayed that way until the regrowth started to show.
Very happy with their service and styling. Having thick straight hair means that blow dry styles don't usually change my appearance much, unless I am getting GHD curls included. The stylist asked what the event was and the type of dress I was wearing, which helped him give me a funky beach wave style. I walked out feeling and looking pretty good.
I called at least 5 times at various times during their weekly business hours, but received no callback despite leaving several messages on their answering service to make an appointment. When I finally got through, they were fine. The salon is much more basic and less comfortable than other facial/beauty salons I have been to. The owner spoke to me the whole time trying to upsell me to purchase additional services so it was more stressful than relaxing. Skin looked good afterwards but I wouldn't go back.
Went there for the first time to redeem a Jumponit macaroon voucher and would've bought more except the staff was quite unfriendly and provided poor customer service, which always turns me off a place. I will try Sweet Infinity in Woolloomooloo as that was the original store that received good reviews. Hopefully, their service will be much better, at least matching the quality of their baked sweet and savory treats. Finally, I was only given 3 different flavours to try in my 6pk (which also was not giftwrapped as advertised in my offer), 2 of which were quite good and not too sweet (yellow macaroon with yellow cream and a pink macaroon with chocolate cream). Much better than your average macaroon!
