We booked here by mistake as another business had changed their name so when we arrived at the wrong place and were sent back to this one we weren't sure what to expect. I can honestly say the gentleman there was excellent. The bunk beds were a problem as all of us were seniors but the lounge was a converter and we put the top bunk mattress on it. It was snug and were clean and thoughtfully decorated and we all loved feeding the birds..anytime of the day and hang on to your cuppa; they like a good cuppa. We would go back there but there aren't many cabins and no room for more so may have trouble booking in. The pub is over the road and the shop and cafe diagonally across so pretty handy position. We enjoyed our stay.

What a letdown. Had lunch here about 8 months ago and it was fine; however booked in for dinner Sunday night and was devastated (had visitors with us). Menu consisted of 2 soups, 2 roasts and 2 desserts. After much debate we picked a soup for starters we were told there was none left. The waitress was lovely and very apologetic and she was embarrassed by the situation. There was no leeway with the price of $25 for this sad menu ie $25 no matter what; entree, main or dessert. $25 no matter which you had or didn't have. No plate of soup is worth $25, it would not have mattered if there had been other food available. We ended up finishing our drink and leaving very disappointed. We all understood a reduced menu on a Sunday night but not to that extreme. Plus no roast pototoes or gravy with roast. Come on chef, wake up.

My husband and I went to the new Kmart in Rocky last Friday. First, parking signs were not clear and disability spaces were limited(I need these as can't walk far). We had to drive around a lot to find somewhere close for him to drop me off. Next, after finally getting to Kmart itself (by now worn out from the big search) found, yet again, no provision in shop itself for customers to have a short break before continuing shopping. Plenty of room but no seats. Prices were not particularly exciting either after all that effort. Everything looked bright and shiny but it was a very quick look as had to get out to a seat. The old shop used to have a little cafe where people could have abreak before tackling the next few aisles. No More; so much for progress. I have often sat outside big stores and spoken to a lot of different people who have the same problem. You're losing sales and don't forget, we are an ageing population.

This was a very nice stopover, room was neat, clean, tidy and smelt nice. Everything we needed was at our fingertips and shower/bathroom was fully stocked with wall containers with all we wanted. Bed was comfy and not low on the floor, handt table and chairs and lounge. home away from home. ......(Update; 20/06/10) Since I wrote this review we have been to this Motel 3 times; last time was very disappointing; receptionist frosty at best, one packet of biscuits in a three bed room, general stay not up to scratch. I wonder if management or staff has changed hands. Brekky not up to usual standard and outside lights on all night. Just a series of little things that all add up when used to a certain standard.
