6 Fence posts rotted to the ground in approx 5 yrs. I think a fence should have a longer life span than this.... very disappointed.
Top Class Fencing and Gates - Thank you for your response – when I rang your company about this problem I was told that 1 in 80,000 posts rot – we have 6 of them so far.
We do not have excess water problems, termites/borers and there is a complete lack of any signs of concrete around the posts.
Our other paling fence is twice as old and it is perfect. It has not shown any signs of damage or deterioration - so it would appear that this is not a soil problem.
This fence blew in the wind and we were terrified that it would fall on us and cause serious injury. We have since had the fence stabalised and repaired to prevent any such problems.
Your company quote to remedy the problem was substantially higher than any other.
Fantastic venue, food, value and everyone of the staff are fantastic. Particular thanks to Trish and Claudia. Love the live music. Highly recommended
Hi Thankyou for your comments. I note that your fence was built 5 years ago. We along with all fencing companies offer a 1 year warranty on all our work.
Deterioration of timber can occur through various means including excess water, termites and borers, acidic soil or concrete paving around posts. We use the same materials common to many Fencing companies and these are timbers classified for in ground use.
