After some initial issues and problems with the kitchen renovation, Kemal and his installation guys did not hesitate in rectifying these problems in a professional and competent manner and ended up very happy with the results

So I call them for a standard U-shape kitchen quote. Not too big, not to small. Benchtops only. Phil verbally quotes me approximately $60,000 taking into consideration the distance of 2.5 hours. That may have included replacing some doors that apparently would or could involve extensive work. Oh and that was only to sheet the existing bench tops. (not solid stone). I mean, like really $60,000 for a renovation. I only requested bench tops and maybe some ideas on how to renovate my kitchen without a hefty price tag. I was just waiting for him to stop rambling on so I could hang up the phone. Full of S- - t!

We had some stone bench tops installed in 2019. We were reasonably happy with the benchtops although there are a few issues that I did not bother to raise at the time so won't now. Fast forward 4 years and we have a hairline crack in the stone. I had been told that we had a 12 year warranty on the stone at the initial consultation but stupidly did not carry out my own due diligence beforehand to find out what that involved. I checked the folder into which I have all my United Stone paperwork and can find nothing spelling out the terms of the warranty. When I called on Monday to report the crack I was educated about the warranty conditions by Phil. He explained that the warranty only covers faulty installation and defects in the stone and as the crack did not appear until 4 years later it would not be covered by warranty. I asked how he could be so sure when he hadn't been out to inspect the crack ( and hadn't even suggested they would) and received the answer that, as the crack hadn't occurred in the first 3 months, it couldn't possibly be due to these warrantable causes. My take away from that is that my 12 year warranty turned out to be 3 months. They did offer to make a chargeable service call to see if they could help improve the look of the crack although were limited in what they could do as they no longer can use dust producing tools to repair engineered stone due, understandably, to silicosis concerns but I decided to spend my money elsewhere. I did make the point that they should spell out more clearly that the warranty is very
limited. He said he would take that on board but I just want to warn potential customers to check the warranty terms themselves prior to signing up. I have taken great care with the benchtop ( I never stand on it or put heavy things on it and always use trivets under hot cooking utensils and appliances but the crack happened anyway) . I'm not saying the crack was definitely due to a warrantable cause as I am in no way qualified to say ( I believe that subsidence can be a cause but we are on a slab so that should be less of a concern although it could have happened - how could I possibly know?). I just assumed however that, as nothing had happened my end that I was aware of to account for the crack ( only my husband and I in the house and he is not aware of anything either) I assumed that some kind of investigation would be conducted but was met with supreme confidence that the issue would not be covered by warranty. From my research other stone companies would handle this in the same way so no reason not to use United Stone just be aware of the warranty conditions beforehand so you don't get disappointed like I am. Anyway I have someone coming out to effect a repair next week. Should I be unhappy with the repair or should it fail in the future (no warranty there either but at least I know ahead of time) I will just replace the benchtops and probably will go back to laminex.

I had a very positive experience with his company and an excellent result. The salesman Ilhan was on time and efficient. The quote was very reasonable. Os, in the Dandenong office helped us choose our stone and showed us the behind scenes process. He gave us many samples to take home. On the day the installers were on time, quiet and clean. The outcome was outstanding. I am very happy with my new modern kitchen.

Terrible experience with this company from the start. They measured up wrong so the benchtops didn’t fit - one was too short and one had gaps at the end - they were a real mess. Fitters were hours late or didn’t turn up at all. Just kept getting fobbed off with excuses from the salesperson. We had to make a case with our credit card insurers in the end to get some action. It took over 3 months to get things put right. Would never recommend them.

Hi I first delt with united stone about 5 years ago when I wanted my restaurant benches and tables upgraded. They did an excellent job at a price that smashed the other quotes.
I have since referred the to many clients who have been very happy too.

These guys are absolutely professional - they did an excellent job at my old house in 2014 and when I moved to my new house in 2016, I did not even bother calling anyone else, I just called Kemal and he was at my house in a jiffy, took the measurements and his superb crew did a truly fantastic installation once again !! I only wish all Contractors could be like United Stone & Kemal ! I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat ! Kemal is also a really friendly guy with a great sense of humour - all in all a very satisfying experience dealing with them.

United Stone was highly recommended for their exceptional service and quality from friends, they were spot on. We over installed our existing timber bench tops in the kitchen, Bathroom, ensuite and Laundry. We also did undercounter sinks and basins everywhere and we are extremely happy. Called a couple of other companies and honestly I don't think they took us serious as I didn't make a decision straight away. United Stone was the last to come out and see us. Kemal showed us a whole heap of samples and helped us pick something that matched our kitchen. Again we didn't make a decision straight away. We decided to go with United Stone in the end for afew reasons.

We had our new bench top installed by United Stone and it looks fabulous! Kemal was so lovely and professional to deal with and really cares about providing a quality service. Kemal provided great suggestions on what we could with our kitchen and since installation he has followed up to ensure we are happy with the installation process and the end result. The trades guys were also a pleasure to deal with and provided tools and suggestions on how to assist in cleaning our benchtops. While the guys don't spend their time cleaning the benchtops (I completely understand why) after installation, it is just a matter of wiping over the tops a few times to get the natural shine come through. Thanks to all the staff at United Stone. We are excited about getting our splashback installed next week and would not hesitate in recommending you to friends and family.

Very bad experience with United Stone Melbourne, stay away from them! We had a stone benchtop installed in Feb 2015. We noticed that there were 2 scratches or minor cracks (about 22 cm altogether) on the benctops after the installation guys left. We contacted them for the issues and they sent a man for inspection. The man came and said he could not do anything but will send another person to inspect the benchtops again. After that, I rang, sent sms & email to the company about the second inspection? Conclusion : when there is an issues needs to be fixed, they simply don't care.

Very bad experience with United Stone, stay away from them if you don't want you furniture damaged.

On 2/03/15 United Stone installed a stone overlay in our kitchen in Lyndhurst. When they finished and we started going through the check list I noticed that the top drawer would not close properly, it would scratch on the top. When I mentioned it to the guys one of them opened the drawer and started banging it from the top real hard. I asked him to stop, he was damaging it, but he said I did not know how it works and how drawers are made.

When I tried to close the drawer later, it would still scratch. Moreover, now it would not close properly, the guy obviously damaged it by hitting it so hard. So they decided to polish the bottom part of the stone instead. After few minutes they asked me to try again. It would still not close properly, but now I was afraid he would damage it even further so I just signed the paperwork and paid the bill. They said that my drawer is crooked, this is why it would not close and it's the best they could do. When the guys left I managed to straighten it to the best of my ability so it closes much better now. But it still scratching so we put some sticky tape to protect it.

I contacted Kemal on the phone and in writing, few times he promised to come over, but he never showed up, it has now been 3 months. Once the payment is made they simply don't care.

Stone benchtops in kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Kamal was good to deal with, and also advised me of some good ideas. Everything went smoothly and I would use this product/service again.
