Darren fixed my Reclaim hot water 22 Feb 2025 driving from his job in Berwick to Mernda on a stinking hot 36 degree Saturday. He came prepared with all the parts but after changing three circuit boards he found that the main board he replaced was faulty and had to source another from his factory over an hour away. He had to make awkward arrangements and then pay for an uber to deliver the part which extended the repair time and his time on site, which was nearly 2hrs of wasted time for him.

Darren was very persistent and was determined to get my hot water back on that day, which he did and for which I was very grateful.

Following referral from Reece Mentone, Darren responded to our call quickly. Being 11:00 amChristmas Eve, the gas unit to our solar hot water wouldn’t ignite. Darren quickly responded and through his contacts source a new replacement unit after shops had closed at 12:00. Couple of hours later we were back on line with new hot water. Darren is knowledgeable, thorough and focused on delivering positive outcome. Merry Christmas.

Our hot water system collapsed contacted SSP and they provided a temporary hot water system while they arranged our order and installation of a new heat pump system. As an elderly couple their support and their efficiency in the supply and installation of our new system could not be faulted. We would definitely recommend them to anyone with solar or plumbing problems.

They asked for a review so here it is. First of all what happened is my own fault. My solar hot water was 7 years old and I didn't think to check if it was under warranty. We rang Rheem and they told us it had a 10 year warranty and the plumber would have known this and should have told us. He didn't and when questioned after he gave us no reply. Again, my own fault, but I do feel taken advantage of.

Sustainable Solar and Plumbing went above and beyond for us yesterday. We had been without hot water for over a week now as our reclaim hot water system had been damaged during an extension build to our home. We were struggling to get the damaged part from the manufacturer and we still needed to get the electrician out too. Darren responded to my desperate plee on a Facebook group for help. He immediately asked Simon to drive 1.5 hours to us. He replaced the part, fixed other issues we didn't realise and properly connected back up our hot water. We couldn't be more grateful

It was a pleasure dealing with Darren and Sai at SSandP. My preliminary calls were answered promptly and courteously and I was given the information I needed without camouflage. They arrived at the time they said they would to carry out switching my HWS gas booster to electric booster. The whole job was carried out efficiently, with minimum disruption and they cleaned up completely before departing. The team on-site were very considerate. I highly recommend SSandP.

As promised they arrived exactly at 7.30 am and with this cold weather, I was asleep. Sai introduced himself and advised on the work to be done. The electrician got in about 30 mins later. Sai worked incredibly organized and very neat about the things he was doing and explained what he was doing and very friendly and conversed well with me. The job site was clean and tidy on completion and everything worked well with the new heat pump. Bye Bye to gas.

I couldn’t fault the work they did replacing my hot water service. I purchased a Reclaim hot water service through G-store and they sent out plumbers from this company to complete the install. Although they were able to do it pretty quickly they were still considerate of the needs of the household and waited for my disabled brother to have a shower before turning off the water. They didn’t skimp on insulating the pipes and made sure it looked neat, tidy and hidden from plain view. I’ve had it for a better part of a month and couldn’t be happier.

This company are amazing, called Darren to see if they could change the date of my dishwasher installation to a closer date than what Good Guys advised, he had my dishwasher picked up and installed it within hours of my phone call.
Would highly recommend them, great communication also.

Great service and great advice. Darren has done a number of jobs for us, but his specialty for us was his knowledge and skills with the planning and installation of a heat pump hot water system.
