Russell and his team could not be commended enough for their honest , genuine and professional nature.

Had them inspect a Foz on my behalf as I was purchasing used, interstate. They noticed some transmission leaks that should have been picked up by Subaru Dealer under warranty so wrote up a report and sent the owner back to Subaru and they fixed it for free.

Russell wouldn't take my money as he wasn't certain Subaru would fix the issue and would impact whether or not I'd go ahead with the purchase. When things worked out in my favour I got back to pay again but still said it was all good. What a champ. Obviously loves his job and prides him self for getting his hands dirty with honesty. So hard to find garages like this these days. Wish I lived in QLD to take my new car there for all works needed.

Honest, Reliable and Trustworthy.
My first experience with Russ and the team at Subi Evolution began after being told my Subi needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs at a dealership. The staff at the dealership were advising me that the repairs were so urgent that l should leave my car there that night and take home a courtesy car and return a week later. Fortunately the staff left me alone for long enough for me to call a friend to ask if the repair costs seemed reasonable. My friend’s advice was to ‘get the hell out of there!’ and go and see the team at Subi Evolution. That was about 7 years ago now. My experience with Russ and the team has always been professional and without pressure. My mechanical knowledge is pretty much non existent however, Russ and the team have never made me feel embarrassed, instead, taking the time to explain to me what needs to be done, prioritising the work and giving me an idea of how long it might be until brake pads etc need to be replaced. The team go above and beyond for their customers and will do a local drop off and pick up or let you relax in the customer lounge while they take care of your Subi. Russ even helped me when purchasing my next second hand Subi which l took home today and look forward to having Subi Evolution take care of for me so I can just enjoy driving her. Last but by far not the least, I must mention their exceptional public relations manager,

After having engine problems after just purchasing an 05 Sti, Russ was immediately helpful and reassuring, he treated me more like a friend and was ALWAYS patient with me, even if I called a lot.

His quote was reasonable and included what was needed to make the car almost like new, fixing the sins of the other mechanics that had come before him.

It is very rare to find such care, dedication and levels of service, and it is a pleasure to recommend the team at Subi Evolution, I'm already excited for the next time the car is with them.

Russell did an excellent job of freshening up my '04 Forester. Steering rack, wheel bearings, rear main seal, window motor/regulator and a dozen other little bits and pieces. After accepting the quote and getting it on the hoist he noticed the clutch was on it's last legs so he called me and asked if I wanted it replaced while he already had the gearbox out - saving me a few hundred bucks in labour. Much appreciated. I'm going back for some new suspension and I know where the Forrie will be going for any work from now on.
I just can't fault Subi Evolution and in particular the customer service that Russell offers.

We are a family of WRX owners and we wouldn't take them anywhere else. Russell is always helpful and his diagnostic skills are awesome. I am so glad Subievo is not far away from us because we would go there even if he was across town. Russ is always happy to supply good 2nd hand parts if appropriate and tries to save his customers money. I can't recommend Russ highly enough. I am soooo glad I have someone I trust looking after my cars... Cheers ..

Many years ago I bought my first Subaru.... After being stuffed around by Dealers for a few months, a friend mentioned this small Subaru workshop in Brendale.... Subi Evolution.
After stopping by and talking to Russ and the guys, I was fairly sure I had found a good workshop.
But, after I got my car back, I was 100% positive.
The guys at Subi Evo go above and beyond every time to ensure that I know what is happening with my pride & joy, and they take the time to explain everything, and make a recommendation on how I should proceed (rather than simply doing work that was not requested, and then billing for it, as many other workshops do)

It has been almost 8 years since I first discovered them, and I have "WOMO'd" many of my friends and workmates here also, some of which don't even own Subaru's!

I am a rep and was working in Brendale for the day. As fate would have it I was parked in Combarton St when my subi would not start. The amazing team at Subi Evolution, knowing I was only in the area for the day jumped to action and had my car ready to go within a few hours. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. They are friendly, helpful and accommodating and the price of repairs was very reasonable, especially when considering the short timeframe they had to work with. I am ever so grateful and recommend them to everyone. They may even be well worth the drive if not local to you.

Russell and Ash did an awesome job on the rebuild of my engine and ever since then I have also taken the car back to Subi Evolution for all its servicing and any issues I have had. Russell spent a good 45 minutes on the phone with me going through options when I first rang to check prices for a rebuild where as most other places just gave me a price and hung up, it was this personal service that made me take my car to Subi Evolution. It has been about a year since I first sent the car in and there has been quite alot of work done on the car now, Russell takes the time to explain everything he has done and why, he also points out anything that may need to be done in the near future. Anybody with a Subaru should definitely be taking their car to Subi Evolution, I live in Redbank Plains and have no hesitation to take the car all the way to the northside as I know I am getting the best service around.
