Christine was very friendly and knew exactly how to adjust my dress. She transformed my lovely dress to an even more beautiful perfect fitting one. Her craftswomanship was excellent.

Superb tailoring and obliging friendly service

Maria and Christine were absolute life savers - I had a medical conference to attend the next day in Adelaide and due to the clothing company which I purchased my pencil skirt from were mucking me around, I received my skirt (which badly fitted me) the day before I had to fly out. Whilst googling for tailors around the Hawthorn area in sheer panic, I stumbled onto Snippity Snip. They had great reviews and they weren't too far away from me. Great! I called them up before I went in to see if they could get my skirt altered before the end of the day and explained my situation. Maria assured me on the phone that they would do their best in helping me. Bless Maria and Christine - they were so delightful and so easy to work with! I know it was just a skirt but it would be my first keynote presentation since I finished school and it meant a lot to me that the ladies were attentive and really helpful. I will not go anywhere else to get my clothes fixed after such a great experience today!

The challenge - My 17-year old silk suit was in great condition, but very dated. Maria and Christine took apart and re-styled the outfit and created an amazing new look which I could now wear to formal events. The challenge was to adjust a suit coat. With pins in mouth, I was fitted expertly and a difficult task was made to look easy. You can have every confidence in this outfit, just as I can now confidently wear something that was once to big for me.

These ladies are tremendous! I bought an evening gown for my 18th birthday and I was worried there wouldn't be enough time to have it altered! I went to these lovely ladies as I had been there once before and they made all my dreams come true. They altered the dress, made new straps and fixed my shape-wear and all within a week! I had a whole week to spare and it looked divine on the night. They are always friendly, happy, easy to get along with and very talented. The price was also very modest for the work they had to do!

Christine carried out major alterations to my Mum's wedding dress so that I could wear it on my wedding day. It was a big job with lots of intricate lace work but it turned out better than we could have imagined. On the day, I had many comments about how beautiful the dress looked and that they couldn't believe it was my Mum's!

Took 2 bridesmaids dresses for alterations (trim, tighten, add straps) and got charged $360! And the dresses were not even big - only 2 layers. And they also had to come back an extra time because they didn't get the straps we planned to have for the dresses.
I also took my wedding gown for a major overhaul but was turned-off because one of the ladies questioned my choice of of wedding dress! She said the ribbon belt made the dress look bad (not knowing that the it was one of the things I loved about the dress)! I almost cried out of disappointment. She not only questioned my wedding dress choice, but embarrassed me in front of my bridesmaids.
I obviously ended up not having my wedding dress altered with them. But had to proceed with the bridesmaids dresses because they've already scheduled themselves free to be there.
It was disappointing service and unprofessional encounter, given that I went with them because of the good reviews here.

i gave snippity snipp the impossible task of taking in a suit that was several sizes too big and only two weeks till i had to wear it, yet for a reasonable price they performed the impossible and i have never been more grateful! I really cant recommend these guys enough, great service and the end result was nothing short of incredible! I will definitely be a return customer!

She made my dress into something that fits me perfectly and recommended what type of alterations were needed for the dress. I would definitely use Snippity Snip again.
