Pure Electric

As a long time subscriber to Renew magazine, I had noticed Pure Electric as a supporter. Thus, when we were looking at installing a Daikin Split system in a Melbourne property we decided to contact the business. I was impressed that I could immediately speak to Mathew and he was able to talk through with me what I felt our needs were and whether in fact the system that we had chosen met our very strict criteria. I took photos and emailed them to him, he had the drawings back by return email and the fixed price quote, all with hours. The system was installed on the day and at the time arranged. The installer was neat and cleared both inside and out perfectly. Our Certificate of Electricity Safety arrived via email within 24 hours. Perfect in every way. I highly recommend Pure Electric.

Our gas-boosted solar hot water system was reaching the end of its life, but we want to move off gas completely so I called Matthew at Pure Electric to find out about the Sanden heat pump HWS. They were terrific to deal with from initial quote, scheduling, and on the day of installation. After being used to having hot water on demand due to the instantaneous gas booster, I was a bit worried about a heat pump storage tank running out of hot water. Now, three weeks later, I can report that the water is wondefully hot and we have never run out.

Got a Tesla Powerwall 2 installed through Pure Electric and their partner. Great outcome am able to charge at night 11PM and release power during the day which is not the simple standard operation as I have a 72c/kWh Premium Feed-in-Tariff. Guys at Pure Electric nailed it for a solution to suit me. Previously got Sunpower panels installed by them and loving the high production and quality product.

Daikin Ururu 2.5 - Pure Electric provides wealth of information and we'll respected advice on various internet sites. When we moved into a house which was 10 years old, with 7m square main kit hen)dining/living room, heated by larger split system, we monitored power consumption for a full year. It averaged less than 10kWh per day, so less than 10% run time, hopelessly oversized. Did ask local Daikin dealer for price on Ururu but he insisted he needed to visit before quote. Then insisting on knowing details of the room, he was abusive that the 2.5kW model was only good for tiny room. So we were happy to go with Pure Electric and even happier that on thermostat set at 18 for winter and 24 for summer, it consumes just 2.5kWh per day or 1279kWh in 644days. Its not a cheap gadget by up front cost but obviously pays for itself, big time, very happy customer.

Had the Sanden Eco Plus from Pure Electric for about four months now, really happy with unit. I am really quite surprised with just how quiet it is, I'd say less than the whirring of an overhead ceilingfan on low speed. Power consumption is about 900w and it normally runs for about 1.5-2.5 hours per day. I do have one minor issues with it, which is the size but being 300L and having the heat pump unit adjacent I understand not much can be done about that (Upon enquiry they told me that it requires the big evaporator / radiator coils and big fan to be so whisper quiet and highly efficient). The other issue is to get to the timer / clock I have to take 4 screws off. I've basically left one screw in for this reason and the other 1 out. The back left one is in as it seems to be required structurally to keep the thing together. Anyway overall I'm super impressed as it's just slashed our heating of hot water. Just the gas cooktop to go now and we will go for Miele or Neff for that one.

I purchased a US7 reverse cycle air conditioner and Sanden heat pump hot water system from from Pure Electric. The install went smoothly and I'm very happy with the end result. Matthew and Paul were very responsive to any questions along the way and helped me with many questions to make sure I was getting products that suited me.
