Best place to go if your craving chocolate/sweets & want to chill. I loved it, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was so good. I really liked the staff, they were very friendly. Cant wait to go again!!
This chocolate may be one of the best chocolate cafes around the city. They provide high quality chocolate desserts throughout its menu but although its desserts are well served, the value for its desserts is quite steep. But well worth trying.
Approximate cost: $20
The atmosphere is nice and love the the chocolate crepe. However, you may want to share with your friend as you may get tired of eating too much chocolate food.
Approximate cost: $15
Have been here a few times, great relaxing atmosphere, its so peaceful for us, we can sit and enjoy the yummy drinks.
its fresh and service is good too
Approximate cost: $25.00
The food is always good; i like the chocolate babka and praline crepe. The mexican spicy hot chocolate is also an interesting drink. overall i like the place as it is relaxing with the dim lighting.
Approximate cost: $15
I liked the place. Have been there several times. They have a good ambience and a decent menu. The prices are not the best, but I think the desserts are worth paying the price. Overall a nice place to spend some time with friends.
Approximate cost: $13
Fantastic! Who doesn't love a good chocolate fix! You'll get the best one at Max Brenner, who offer a huge range of treats and hot/cold beverages. Perfect place to go for sweet treats!
Gotta love the chocolate & waffles at max brenner. I was glad this one opened up as it was more central than the paddington & double bay locations.
I like that there is the outdoor seating w/ heaters although as to be expected there is still a wait for tables when it is busy.
If you havent been there before ensure to try the waffles, a milk chocolate frappe & chocolate lick! Be expected to pay usual dessert prices but its worth the price!
Approximate cost: $15
OMG the best liquid chocolate, hot chocolate eva. The Store is small so its hard to get a table although its still worth getting take away. Keep up the good work Max & Friends
Scrumptious! I'm such a huge fan of chocolate (who isn't??), and this place always makes my day that much happier. They have great desserts and drinks - really worth trying. The only thing that bugs me is that it's just a bit too expensive to be going too often, much to my dismay!
yummmmm, this so so nice, if your a chocolate fan you will love this store. its the same every store you go to same taste and quality, one down fall is sometimes you cant get a table and have to wait cause they are busy, but the drinks and deserts are so nice .
i am the biggest chocolate lover and this place did not help me pass cravings instead i gained 10 kilos! lol the best desserts and frappes ive tasted ever! ill definatley go back very soon maybe even now bye bye!
The yummiest thing you can lay your hands on at Max Brenner if dining in is the suckao. It's a fondue style hot chocolate, which is great for a romantic date or a really nice warm-up on a Winter's day. If you're planning to take away, I would recommend the Milk Hot Chocolate or Italian Hot Chocolate. The waffles are also really nice. The cafe in David Jones is small, so be prepared to wait for a table, and if you can, try to get the comfy cushioned seats. If you're looking for a bigger Max Brenner, try the one on George Street closer to Circular Quay, or at Parramatta.
Approximate cost: $5-10
Despite the hype surrounding Max Brenner cafes, I was somewhat disappointed when I experienced it myself. The cafe is undoubtedly quite cramped and the staff aren't the friendliest or most helpful. The food is okay, but very overpriced. Better to stick with melting your own chocolate at home and buying some fruit from the fruit shop to go with it.
this cafe is very expensive. and even more on weekends when they charge an extra 10% for all orders including takeaways.
however, this place is very packed at nights and weekends and since they don't really help you with the seats, you definitely need to be really smart to get your table.
if you haven't got your seats, they don't let you order and it is often that we ended up at other cafes nearby. and even when we do get our seats, we dont stay there often as the place feels really cramped and they hardly have time to serve us with tap water we repeatedly asked.
Approximate cost: $15
when there due to all the hype the waffles were average, very poor due to the cost the hot chocolate was closer to the poor quality you get at a McCafe but 4 times the cost. i will stick to lint cafe instead
The stuff here are wonderful but not a value for money meals. The meals are overly expensive and the quality of staff service is poorly dealt with. I recommend this shop only for chocoholics
Approximate cost: $15-20
I thought that was was extremely over rated. Very thing is very expensive for what it is. The service was very slow and they closed the queue and stopped serving while people were still in the eatery. Personally I believe the hype is about the fact that is only chocolate, not that it serves great quality
the best hot chocolate outside of Barcelona...particularly the suckaos which are pretty much liquid chocolate. Their chocolate souffles are also pretty special.
Chocolate - mmmmm!!!! Loved their hot chocolate. Went for a catchup with the girls and had the best time. Drinks and desert were fantastic, would definitely go here again on special occasions.
Everything is about this place is amazing. The chocolate is out of this world. Whether you go for a hot or cold drink or for a desert it is absolutely great. It is also open pretty late and has a nice atmosphere inside for you to share an intimate moment just you and your chocolate. The only thing is that the prices are pretty high but there is no real alternative to this place.
